Roundabout presents Passion Play on Broadway

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents the new Broadway production of Peter Nichol's drama Passion Play, directed by Mark Brokaw at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street). Previews begin on April 15th, 2005 and opens officially on May 4th, 2005. This is a limited engagement through July 3rd, 2005.

Roundabout's world premiere of Belber's "McReele" to star Anthony Mackie

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to announce that Anthony Mackie will star in the world premiere of Stephen Belber's McReele, staged by Tony Award© nominated director Doug Hughes (Doubt). McReele begins previews in January 2005 at the Laura Pels Theatre (Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre; 111 West 46th Street) and officially opens on Thursday, February 17, 2005. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, April 24th.

Special Benefit Performance of "The Foreigner" Scheduled for 12/5/04

Roundabout Theatre Company presents a special added performance of THE FOREIGNER, the sold-out comic sensation starring Matthew Broderick and Frances Sternhagen, to benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's Education Department and their work bringing theater to New York City public schools.

Twelve Angry Men extends through March 27th

Roundabout Theatre Company's Artistic Director, Todd Haimes announces a seven-week extension of the Broadway premiere production of Reginald Rose's drama Twelve Angry Men directed by Scott Ellis at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street) now through Sunday, March 27th, 2005.

Intimate Apparel Awarded Six AUDELCO Awards

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Center Theatre Group's co-production of Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel has received six Vivian Robinson/AUDELCO Recognition Awards for Excellence in Black Theatre. The awards, also known as 'The VIVs', are presented annually to recognize and honor excellence in black theatre.

Intimate Apparel Wins 3 LA Ovation Awards

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Center Theatre Group's co-production of Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel, at the Mark Taper Forum, has been awarded 3 Los Angeles Ovation Awards.

Twelve Angry Men extends through February 6th.

Roundabout Theatre Company's Artistic Director, Todd Haimes announces a four-week extension of the Broadway premiere production of Reginald Rose's drama Twelve Angry Men directed by Scott Ellis at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street) now through Sunday, February 6th, 2005. The original limited engagement was through December 19, 2004, a second extension was announced through January 2, 2005 and a third extension was announced through January 9th.

Pacific Overtures begins previews Friday

Previews begin on Friday for Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Gorgeous Entertainment (Kumiko Yoshii & Michael Wolk, Producers), new Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim's and John Weidman's Tony Award-winning musical PACIFIC OVERTURES. PACIFIC OVERTURES stars B.D. Wong as 'Reciter', with direction and choreography by Amon Miyamoto, additional material by Hugh Wheeler and music direction by Paul Gemignani. PACIFIC OVERTURES will open officially on Thursday, December 2nd, 2004 on Broadway at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). This is a limited engagement through January 30th, 2005.

Edward Hall to direct Roundabout's A Streetcar Named Desire

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announces Edward Hall will direct the new Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' drama A Streetcar Named Desire, starring Natasha Richardson, at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). A Streetcar Named Desire will begin previews in March, 2005 and open in April 2005. This is a limited engagement through June 19th, 2005.
