On Tuesday, September 20, 2011, The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) will present the third annual Broadway Salutes, a public celebration recognizing the countless professionals who have made Broadway great for decades. In this industry-wide celebration, which takes place at 4:30 PM, theater professionals will receive special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years in their respective theatrical craft. The event will feature performances by Raul Esparza and Leslie Uggams. Kathleen Marshall and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, are special guests with other participants soon to be announced.

Due to the impending weather forecast of rain, Broadway Salutes will now take place at the Times Square Visitors Center (7th Avenue between 46th and 47th Street - between The Palace Theatre and McDonalds) this Tuesday, September 20, 2011, The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) will present the third annual Broadway Salutes, a public celebration recognizing the countless professionals who have made Broadway great for decades. Glenn Poppleton (Producer) announced that Lucky Guy, a new musical comedy, will end its limited engagement following the evening performance on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. The show, which began previews at the Little Shubert Theatre (422 West 42nd Street, between 9th & Dyer Avenues) on April 29 and opened on Thursday, May 19, will have played 23 preview performance and 14 regular performances. The production had been announced to run through July 24.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, the 2010 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical, played its final Broadway performance on Sunday, May 1 at 3:00 PM at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). At closing, the production had played 433 performances and 15 previews. LA CAGE AUX FOLLES will be launching a national tour this fall, starting in October in Des Moines, IA and starring George Hamilton.

Now, 28 years later, he is starring as Albin in the Tony Award-winning revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street), which just re-opened to rave reviews.
