Comedy Theatre Extends THE CHILDREN'S HOUR Through May 7

Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour has now extended its run for a second and final time, with bookings being taken at the Comedy Theatre until 7 May 2011.

According to a report byBaz Bamigboye for Daily Mail, THE CHILDREN'S HOUR, starring Keira Knightly and Elizabeth Moss has brought in £1.8?million. With a successful run at the Comedy Theatre, now the show might be heading to the Great White Way by early next year.

When a troubled teenager starts to spin a web of deceit, all around her are soon caught up in it. Karen Wright (Keira Knightley) and Martha Dobie (Elisabeth Moss) have worked for years to establish their all-girls boarding school, and now, with the school flourishing and Karen on the verge of marriage, their lives and loves finally appear secure. However, when malicious student Mary runs away from the school and seeks to avoid being sent back, she draws on hearsay, gossip, and her own imagination, to concoct a story that threatens the school, the marriage, and their entire futures.

Bookings Now Available for THE CHILDREN'S HOUR at Comedy Theatre

Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour is now taking bookings at the Comedy Theatre until 30 April (and not 2 April as previously announced). The Children's Hour first preview on 22 January and press night on 9 February 2011 remain as originally published.

Burstyn & Kane Join Knightley & Moss in CHILDREN'S HOUR

Ellen Burstyn and Carol Kane as well as Bryony Hannah and Tobias Menzies are to join the previously announced Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss in Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour. The Children's Hour, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions & Scott Landis, will have its first preview at the Comedy Theatre on 22 January 2011 with press night on 9 February and is booking until 2 April 2011.

Goold Directed 'King Lear' Starring Postlethwaite to Transfer to Young Vic

What's on Stage is reporting that King Lear, starring Pete Postlethwaite, directed by Rupert Goold will be transferring to the West End at the Young Vic Theatre in 2009. The show will begin performances at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool in early November and is already sold out.
