They all have been touched, in some way, by the inimitable promoter, agent and manager extraordinaire, Sid Bernstein. Mr. Bernstein passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in New York City, said his longtime friend, publicist Merle Frimark.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts has added more than a dozen new performances to its star-studded 2013-14 season. Among the highlights will be concerts with the retro-hip, multilingual 'little orchestra' Pink Martini on Jan. 21 and Grammy Award-winning singer Aaron Neville onMarch 22; actor Denis O'Hare (HBO's True Blood) performing An Iliad, a one-man show based on Homer's epic about the Trojan War, on April 3-4; and a night of irreverent stand-up with actor and comedian Mario Cantone (Sex and the City) on May 10.

Catalano is the only known saxman to have performed with Miles Davis, Randy Brecker, Charles Earland, Elvin Jones, Stan Getz, Betty Carter, Von Freeman, Tito Puente, Tony Bennett, Les Claypool and Louis Bellson while still in high school!

Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra perform tonight, August 11, 2013 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $19-$29 with Premium tickets available for $39. Students with ID's are $12. Boston Children's Museum is celebrating its 100th birthday with a Big Cake Birthday Tour that will visit ten Boston neighborhoods this summer. A giant inflated cake and milk bottle will accompany Museum staff who will lead playful activities and games meant to inspire movement and health. The Tour honors the neighborhood roots of the Museum and its commitment to the families and children of Boston.
Bringing artists from all over the world, and from most every genre, the Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College - formerly known as Three Stages at Folsom Lake College - will offer literally hundreds of performances in 2013-14. Beginning in late July, 2013 and extending into spring 2014, the new season includes world-class performers like Kenny Loggins, Seinfeld's Jason Alexander, and Savion Glover; Broadway productions such as Peter and the Starcatcher, The Addams Family and Bring It On: The Musical (all of which are appearing in the capital region for the first time ever); and an unprecedented season of dance in Folsom which kicks off with Alonzo King LINES Ballet and also features Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Bellydance Superstars, Ballroom with a Twist, and return visits of the popular Moscow Festival Ballet's Swan Lake and Diavolo Dance Theatre; and many more, all on the stages at the Harris Center.
