The Drama League Announces SO IN LOVE February 13 with Callaway(s), McCartney, Morton, Gleason and More

The Drama League (Jano Herbosch, President) announces its 21st annual spring gala benefit concert, SO IN LOVE: A NIGHT OF ROMANCE AT THE RAINBOW ROOM, which will take place on Monday, February 13, 2006 at The Rainbow Room (30 Rockefeller Plaza, 65th FL, NYC). The concert, directed by Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J) and choreographed by Karma Camp (artistic associate at The Signature Theatre in D.C.), will feature performances by some of Broadway's best and brightest, including: Tony Award winners Joanna Gleason (currently in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Scott Wise (Fosse), Tony nominees Liz Callaway (Baby), Ann Hampton Callaway (Swing!), Euan Morton (Taboo) and Elizabeth Parkinson (Movin' Out), as well as Tina Fabrique (Ragtime), Liz McCartney (Bingo) and Roz Ryan (The Pajama Game). Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman (The Boy From Oz) serves as honorary chairman.

Donna Trinkoff, Producing Artistic Director of Amas Musical Theatre, announced that DARIUS DE HAAS and IRA HAWKINS have joined the all-star line-up appearing in 'DAMN YANKEES' which will be presented in a 90-minute concert version during Amas' third 'BLAST FROM THE PAST' Benefit on Monday, November 14th.

Previews Begin Thursday, February 17 for DESSA ROSE

The world premiere of DESSA ROSE, a new musical with book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty and choreography and direction by Graciela Daniele, begins performances Thursday (February 17) at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night for this Lincoln Center Theater production is Monday, March 21.

Amas Musical Theatre benefit on Oct 25 includes concert presentation of "RAISIN"

Donna Trinkoff, Producing Director of AMAS MUSICAL THEATRE, announced the company will produce its second BLAST FROM THE PAST BENEFIT on MONDAY, OCTOBER 25th featuring a 90 minute concert presentation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical RAISIN, starring NORM LEWIS as Walter, TINA FABRIQUE as Lena Younger, TONY-winner CHUCK COOPER as Willie, and TAMARA TUNIE as Ruth. Directed by Kevin Ramsey and choreographed by Maria Torres, the cast will also include KENITA MILLER, VENIDA EVANS, PATRICK JUDE, KEVIN R. FREE, CURTISS I. COOK, CORNELIUS BATES, JENELLE RANDALL, STACEY SCOTTE and JUSON WILLIAMS.
