BBC AMERICA is co-producing a new six-part drama series, The Hour, to premiere this summer on BBC AMERICA. Created and written by BAFTA award-winning Abi Morgan (White Girl, Sex Traffic, Brick Lane, Murder), The Hour stars Dominic West(The Wire, The Devil's Whore), Romola Garai (Emma, Atonement) and Ben Whishaw (Bright Star, Criminal Justice, Brideshead Revisited) locked in a highly competitive, sharp witted and passionate love triangle.

Lucy Cohu (Julia), Diana Hardcastle (Edna), Ian McElhinney (Harry), Imelda Staunton (Claire) and Tim Pigott-Smith (Tobias) will join the previously announced Penelope Wilton (Agnes) in Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, directed by James Macdonald which will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 May - 2 July, with press night on 12 May 2011. A Delicate Balance will be designed by Laura Hopkins with lighting by Guy Hoare and sound by Ian Dickinson.

The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience. Previously scheduled to close on 8 May, the production will continue to run after this date, with a new cast, until 14 August 2010 (the ninth anniversary of the whistle-blowing letter that precipitated Enron's collapse).

ENRON, written by Lucy Prebble, recently began a six-week run at London's Royal Court Theatre on September 17 and will move to the West End's Noel Coward Theatre on January 16, prior to an official opening Jan. 26, 2010. It will replace the soon-to-close CALENDAR GIRLS. The New York Times is reporting that the production will move to Broadway at a Shubert Theater to be determined in April 2010. The Broadway transfer will be produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Matthew Byam Shaw, Act Productions, Caro Newling for Neal St. Productions and the Shubert Organization.
ENRON To Get Big Screen Adaptation

Columbia Pictures has purchased screen rights to ENRON, Lucy Prebble's new play investigating the infamous energy company's 2001 scandal that is currently running at London's Royal Court Theatre. The production will premiere on the West End on January 16, 2010.
