Long Wharf Theatre Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein follows up his triumphant re-examination of The Glass Menagerie and his exploration of the new works of Athol Fugard with his adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, running on the Mainstage through May 23.
The Steppenwolf Theatre Company Ensemble is pleased to announce its newest member, playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney. Among his many accomplishments, McCraney is the author of the critically-acclaimed The Brother/Sister Plays, currently playing at Steppenwolf through May 23, 2010. As a playwright, he has collaborated with Steppenwolf ensemble member Tina Landau on seven productions and readings nationally. He also appeared on stage at Steppenwolf in Landau's 2004 production of Theatrical Essays. Additionally, McCraney was recently commissioned by Steppenwolf, through support from the Joyce Foundation Awards, to write a new play for the Steppenwolf ensemble based on the biblical book of Job. The Steppenwolf ensemble, the longest-existing theater ensemble in the U.S., now totals 43 members.

Linda Powell will play the role of Christine in Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein's adaptation of A Doll's House, by Henrik Ibsen. The show will run on the Mainstage, located at 222 Sargent Drive, New Haven, from April 28 through May 23.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today its newest ensemble member: William Petersen. The Steppenwolf ensemble, the longest-existing theater ensemble in the United States, now totals 42 members.
THREE CHANGES a new play by Nicky Silver, will open at Playwrights Horizons on September 16th, 2008. Directed by Tony Award nominee Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore) in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production began previews on Friday August 22nd.
Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced that, due to popular demand, it will extend its World Premiere production of THREE CHANGES, a new play by Nicky Silver (Fit to Be Tied at Playwrights Horizons, The Food Chain, Pterodactyls, Raised in Captivity). In addition to the extension starting Tuesday, September 30, the theater company is also adding two special Wednesday matinees on September 10 and September 24, both at 2:30 PM. Tickets for all new performances are now on sale.
