Pook's Hill to Present SOMETHING WILD..., Beginning 9/14

Pook's Hill will present SOMETHING WILD…, an evening of three rarely performed short plays by Tennessee Williams: Hello From Bertha, 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, and This Property is Condemned. Directed by Ken Schatz and starring Andrus Nichols (Off-Broadway's Saint Joan), performances begin September 14th at The Dorothy Strelsin Theatre at The Abingdon Theater Arts Complex. Opening night is sceduled for Friday, September 21st.

Tickets Now On Sale for MCC Theater's DON'T GO GENTLE

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that individual tickets have gone on-sale for the first show of its 2012-13 season: the world premiere of Stephen Belber's Don't Go Gentle. THE WALKING DEAD's Jon Bernthal and John Pollono Lead MCC's SMALL ENGINE REPAIR, May-June 2013

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that Jon Bernthal (AMC's "The Walking Dead") and actor/playwright John Pollono will star in the New York Premiere of Small Engine Repair, by John Pollono, directed by Jo Bonney (Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig). The production will be the third and final production of MCC's 2012-13 three-play mainstage season, which marks the company's 27th consecutive year producing and developing new work by today's most provocative and vibrant artists. Small Engine Repair will be performed at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) May 16 - June 23, 2013.

MCC Theater presents Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute's 'shorts' series, The Heart of the Matter, for four special benefit performances that will take place tonight, June 13 and June 14, 15 and 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC). The staged reading will feature actor Krysten Ritter (ABC's "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23," AMC's "Breaking Bad"). Carolyn Cantor, who recently directed Regrets at Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC's production of LaBute's In a Dark Dark House, will direct. Proceeds will support MCC Theater's Playwrights' Coalition program, free PlayLab reading series and literary development activities.

Through small town gossip, this parable explores the relativity of truth, the vanity and necessity of illusion and the instability of the human personality.
