CJ Solar kicked off the week chatting with numerous radio stations about his “American Girls” single and accepting his first ASCAP Award for co-writing Morgan Wallen's “Up Down” single, and he will wrap up the week performing at the Tiger One Village tailgate event prior to the LSU vs. Rice football game on Saturday.

JUNGLE BOOK THE NEXT CHAPTER is a fun-filled, energetic musical adventure that invites the audience to join in the action when Baloo the bear and Mowgli, the young orphan boy raised in the jungle by wolves meet again several years after Mowgli has left the jungle.

Audiences will have a chance to experience both lesser known classic plays and new works when Bucks County Playhouse launches its Play Discovery Series with a reading of 'The Outgoing Tide' by Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham on November 14 at 7:30 p.m. Directed by four-time Oscar nominee, Marsha Mason, 'The Outgoing Tide' is the first of several plays that will be part of the series for which Mason also serves as curator.  Additional titles will be announced shortly.

Today, the Los Angeles duo Girlpool, comprised of Harmony Tividad (she/her) and Cleo Tucker (he/they), has announced their new album, What Chaos Is Imaginary. The album's lead single, 'Hire,' is a great example of the band's constant evolution and maturation. What Chaos Is Imaginary is available for pre-order now and due out February 1st, 2019 via ANTI- Records.

A family musical that's perfect for the holiday season, "Peter Pan" is flying onto the Axelrod stage December 8-16!

For some years, Drose & Norberg has set up a family musical based on a famous story like The Wizard of Oz, Snow White the Musical and the Aladdin Adventure- The story they chosen this year is the Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. It's not a Disney version of the Jungle Book but a new musical with newly written music by Marin Landh and Peter Nygren. The well-known characters such as Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, Shere Khan and the snake Kaa is still in the story.

Nashville recording artist and Navy veteran Jared Ashley released a new single “Cherrybend.” “Cherrybend” is inspired by Operation Cherrybend, an annual event held in Wilmington, Ohio that strives to thank our nation's wounded veterans and to spread awareness about veterans' issues. The week-long event includes activities at Cherrybend Pheasant Farm and a country music concert at the Murphy Theatre. Ashley wrote “Cherrybend” along with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Rick Tiger. Tiger and Ashley wrote “Cherrybend” after spending a week with veterans at Cherrybend Pheasant Farm and debuted the song during the 2017 Operation Cherrybend concert. The country song is about how Cherrybend Pheasant Farm is a place of refuge and has a supportive community for veterans.

'Congratulations, Christopher Hodge' - a new song released from Can't Swim today is streaming now exclusively on Billboard.com today. The song can be found on their upcoming, highly anticipated sophomore album, This Too Won't Pass, which will be released on November 16 through Pure Noise Records.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

The John W. Engeman Theater announces the cast and creative team for ELF. Performances begin on Thursday, November 15 and run through Sunday, December 30, 2018.

Two River Theater (TRT) continues their 20182019 season with August Wilson's King Hedley II, directed by Obie Award winner, Brandon J. Dirden. It will be performed on the Red Bank stage from November 10 to December 16. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing Brittany Bellizeare who plays Tonya in King Hedley II.
