Westport Country Playhouse Presents Playwright David Hare in Conversation 10/16

Westport Country Playhouse will present 'A Conversation with Playwright David Hare,' whose works include the plays 'Plenty' and 'Stuff Happens,' and the screenplay for the Oscar-winning film 'The Reader,' on Friday, October 16, following the 8 p.m. performance of his play, 'The Breath of Life.' Directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director, 'The Breath of Life' features Jane Alexander and Stockard Channing.

Westport Country Playhouse Presents a Sunday Symposium on Playwright David Hare 10/4

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Sunday Symposium titled, 'The Personal Is Political: The Work of David Hare,' following the Sunday, October 4, 3 p.m. matinee performance of 'The Breath of Life,' written by Hare and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. Guest speaker will be Susan Balée, who teaches at Temple University.

Channing, Alexander Star In Westport Country Playhouse's THE BREATH OF LIFE, Runs 9/29-10/17

Jane Alexander and Stockard Channing will appear in Sir David Hare's witty and elegant 'The Breath of Life' at Westport Country Playhouse, September 29 through October 17. Mark Lamos, named artistic director in February 2009 at the historic theater in Westport, Connecticut, will direct. 'The Breath of Life' will be the final production in the Playhouse's six-play 2009 season.
