The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the directors and casts for the eight musicals being presented at its 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Also, announced were the line-up for this year's Songwriter Showcase happening during the Festival.

To commemorate their 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals, the National Alliance of Musical Theatre will celebrate with a benefit concert entitled, A Toast to 20! on Sunday, October 19th.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced the official selections for its 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals to be held in New York City.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced 12 additional new musicals to join the 18 musicals previously announced as part of the 4th annual Festival from September 17 through October 7, 2007 in New York City.

The two new musicals that will be presented as part of The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's Music Theatre Conference in Waterford, CT from July 15th through 29th will be studded with starry casts; Veanne Cox, Jenn Collela, Anne L. Nathan and Megan McGinnis are among the performers set to take part in the shows

Ensemble Studio Theatre bills itself as 'The Major Forum for One-Act Plays in America.' Having not surveyed too many of the minor forums, I can't necessarily second it. But if its 28th Festival of One-Act Plays 'Series C' is any indication, the company can pride itself on presenting intriguing work by artists more than skilled in the craft of one-act playwriting-and even the writing of musicals
