Commedia Beauregard is pleased to present MASTER WORKS: The Intuit Plays, six new short plays inspired by pieces of artwork from the permanent collection of one of Chicago's most fascinating museums, Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, 756 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. Curated by company member kClare Kemock*, the six plays will be performed April 2 - 11, 2015 at the museum itself, allowing the audience members to view the works of art firsthand. Guests will also have an opportunity to vote for 'Audience Favorite' and 'Best Translation.' The press opening is Today, April 2 at 7:30 pm. An American classic, this story is funny as it is touching and heart-warming, Frankie, a 12-year-old tomboy, is coming of age in a small Southern town in the 1940s.

She is a troubled adolescent who dreams of escape from her seemingly hopeless environment and is befriended by her loving confidante housekeeper and younger cousin. A plot that has timeless relevance, it is a mid-century look at attitudes on racial and sexual identity that has lessons that can be applied to society today.

Noreen Taylor Announces the 2014 RBC Taylor Prize for Literary Non-Fiction Shortlist

Today, Noreen Taylor, prize founder and chair of the Charles Taylor Foundation announced the 2014 RBC Taylor Prize Shortlist before a breathless, standing-room-only crowd of publishers and journalists. The following five shortlisted books were culled from 12 titles on the RBC Taylor Prize Longlist which was released in December. The longlist was selected from 124 Canadian-authored non-fiction books submitted to this year's Prize by 45 publishers in 2013.

Hansel and Gretel plays Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday, December 12 and 19. Photo Flash: CATS 'Prowls' at Roxy Regional Theatre

As part of its 26th season of presenting quality live theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre in Clarksville, Tennessee, opened the hit musical CATS on Friday, April 10, to a sold-out house. Tickets are still available for CATS performances through May 2, playing Tuesdays thru Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday, April 18.
