Celebrate 2013, with You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up!, continuing its National Tour starring Kevin Bartini and Gabrielle Mirabella at the 14th Street Theatre at PlayhouseSquare for a limited engagement, tonight, February 5 through February 17. You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up! is a part of the U. S. Bank Star Performance Series.

Theresa Rebeck has made a name for herself with her rich and engaging characters on stage and most recently with her look into the underbelly of theater with her hit TV show, "Smash". And along those lines her play "The Understudy" currently playing at Seattle Public Theater manages a fun and illuminating look into show business as well. And while the play doesn't always have the most original concepts out there, this production manages some finely layered performances from its ensemble cast.

Deadline reports that Tony Award winning director Michael Mayer has signed on to helm the upcoming pilot HATFIELDS & MCCOYS for the NBC network. The project, created by John Glenn, is produced by Charlize Theron, Dawn Parouse Olmstead, Beau Flynn and ABC Studios.

NBC has released a sneak peek of the opening montage for SMASH Season 2, premiering Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 9/8c. In the number, Katharine McPhee's 'Karen' performs the song "Cut, Print, Moving On," from the show's fictional musical 'Bombshell'.

The 4th Street Theatre will present the New York Premiere of the critically acclaimed one-man show, The Play About The Coach, written and performed by Paden Fallis and directed by Tamara Fisch. Tony nominated actress Montego Glover has been tapped to play the recurring role of ‘Marissa' in Season two of NBC's SMASH, currently filming in New York. Marissa is described as the compassionate, authoritative stage manager. Glover won a Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award for Best Actress in a Musical for the Tony Award Winning MEMPHIS on Broadway and has been previously seen on The Good Wife, White Collar and Made In Jersey. She is repped by DGRW and Liebman Entertainment.
