Photo Flash: First Look at Priscilla Lopez and More in TheatreWorks' SOMEWHERE

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the regional premiere of SOMEWHERE, a captivating new play told in exuberant dance as well as drama by playwright Matthew Lopez (The Whipping Man), and featuring Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez (Broadway's A Chorus Line). This compelling tale of a 1960s Puerto Rican family dreaming and dancing its way toward show business will be helmed by director Giovanna Sardelli. SOMEWHERE plays January 16 - February 10, 2013 (press opening January 19) at TheatreWorks at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. TheatreWorks New Milford Presents ADRIFT IN MACAO, 2/22-3/23

For its premiere show of the 2013 Season, TheatreWorks New Milford will debut award-winning playwright Christopher Durang's musical comedy, ADRIFT IN MACAO, with book and lyrics by Durang and music by Peter Melnick.

TheatreWorks to Present BEING EARNEST World Premiere Musical, 4/3-28

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents World Premiere BEING EARNEST, a new musical take on Oscar Wilde's comic masterpiece from Paul Gordon (TheatreWorks' hits Emma, Daddy Long Legs, and Broadway's Jane Eyre) and Grammy and Emmy-nominated songwriter Jay Gruska. Set in 1964 London, this lively and lyrical adaptation moves The Importance of Being Earnest to a bachelor flat near Carnaby Street, where the exuberance of mod fashion, music, and morality inspires a quartet of lovers and incurs the wrath of Lady Bracknell, the cantankerous keeper of tradition's flame.

33 VARIATIONS to Play Festival Stage of Winston-Salem, 2/1-24

Festival Stage of Winston-Salem continues its third season of professional theatre with a production of Moises Kaufman's new drama 33 Variations, presented at Hanesbrands Theatre (209 N. Spruce Street, Winston-Salem) from Feb. 1 to Feb. 24.

TheatreWorks New Milford's TWKids Winter Program to Begin 1/26

TheatreWorks New Milford's TWKids Program begins its winter program on Saturday, January 26, culminating with performances in March. The workshop includes a 90-minute skills class once a week after school and a three hour rehearsal every Saturday morning with instructor Beth Bonnabeau & her staff.

Alex Goley Stars in TheatreWorks' BIG RIVER in Palo Alto, 11/28-12/30

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents a family treat for the holidays, the Tony Award-winning musical BIG RIVER. Helmed by TheatreWorks Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, BIG RIVER plays November 28-December 30, 2012 (press opening December 1) at TheatreWorks at the Lucie Stern Theatre in Palo Alto.

Dallas Theater Center to Present KING LEAR, 1/18-2/18

Dallas Theater Center will conclude its four-year Shakespeare cycle with one of the playwright's greatest tragedies King Lear, a co-production with Trinity Repertory Company and directed by DTC artistic director Kevin Moriarty. King Lear opens for previews on Friday, January 18 and runs through Sunday, February 18.

Zach Appelman to Star in Folger Theatre's HENRY V, 1/22-3/3

The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from January 22 - March 3, 2013.
