Dorset Theatre Festival's Pipeline Series Of New Plays Continues With THREE GIRLS NEVER LEARNT THE WAY HOME

Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis and Producing Director Will Rucker, will present Three Girls Never Learnt The Way Home by Matthew Paul Olmos on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. This is the second reading of the acclaimed Pipeline Series of three one-night-only presentations of new work. Three Girls was most recently read in New York City as part of the Mentor Project at the Cherry Lane Theatre in March 2019. Olmos is a three-time Sundance Institute FellowshipResidency recipient and his play so go the ghosts of mexico, part one was a New York Times Critic's Pick.

ROMEO AND JULIET Comes To Queens For Rude Grooms' Second Annual Free Commons Series

Queens-based Rude Grooms announced today initial details for the company's second annual free summer production touring parks and art spaces in Astoria and Long Island City: William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, led by actor-manager Montgomery Sutton (Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe) and produced in partnership with Long Island City Artists at the Plaxall Gallery and the Astoria Park Alliance and is made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

Reading Rep Theatre and A Girl Called Stephen today announce the full casts for their double bill coproduction of verbatim plays Locker Room Talk by Gary McNair, and Safe by Alexis Gregory. For Locker Room Talk, Christie O'Carroll directs Sasha Clarke (Actor 1), Emily Joh Miller (Actor 2), Sivan Raphaelly (Actor 3), and Tilda Wickham (Actor 4). Annie Kershaw directs Joshua Asare (Samuel), Sasha Clarke (Alecia), Elijah Ferreira (Jack), and Emily Joh Miller (Tami) in Safe.

They are deeply, tragically over-cultured and over-qualified for their surroundings; fluent in foreign languages and proficient in philosophy, yet hundreds of miles from the nearest city. With nothing to do but chat to the locally-stationed soldiers, the girls dream of life in Moscow. "Soon," they promise each other, they'll get there.

The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theatre Company, kicks off their 29th season with the World Premiere of Gordon Dahlquist's [Veil Widow Conspiracy]. Aneesha Kudtarkar directs a cast that will include Edward Chin-Lyn, Kimiye Corwin, Bruce McKenzie, David Shih, James Seol, Karoline Xu, and Aaron Yoo. Three Men on a Bike is a Victorian period piece based on the further writings of popular Victorian humorist Jerome K. Jerome (1859-1927). At the end of the 19th century, three upper-middle class gentlemen are caught up in the great European bicycling craze. They decide to tour the continent on their new machines. (And since "the brake" hadn't quite been perfected yet, disaster ensues.)
