Michael Harrison and David Ian are delighted to announce the UK and Ireland tour dates for Thea Sharrock's hit production of the West End musical THE BODYGUARD. The tour will open at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton on Thursday 12 February 2015 before embarking on a two year UK and Ireland tour. Schedule below with further dates to be announced.

Two-time Academy Award-winning stage and screen superstar Kevin Spacey is capping off his tenure as artistic director of London's acclaimed theatrical venue The Old Vic with a performance of the play CLARENCE DARROW and on opening night earlier this week the actor wittily lashed out at an audience member whose cellphone interrupted an important moment in the drama.

Initial casting for Arthur Miller's The Crucible is announced. Richard Armitage, Anna Madeley and Samantha Colley are to play John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor and Abigail Williams in Ya?l Farber's new production at The Old Vic, with previews from Tuesday 24 June. The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. Emerging company Gameshow are developing a new work exploring human relationships to the universe, which will tour to Ovalhouse, Camden People's Theatre and The Yard in 2014. This is the Moon, That is the Earth, will play with the nature of live performance and spark debates on issues both infinitesimally small and impossibly large. Questioning the nature and meaning of the distance between audience and performer, the two-man production will prompt audience members to ask why they are watching - and what they get in return.

The Bodyguard has been announced as one of the 16 West End productions eligible to receive the BBC Radio 2 Audience Award at this year's Olivier Awards 2014 ceremony on 13 April. The Audience Award is the only Olivier Award decided entirely by members of the public. Voting, which is now open, is at www.olivierawards.com/vote On 4 March four shortlisted productions will be announced. The winning show will then be announced, along with the rest of the winners, on the night of the ceremony at the Royal Opera House.

The hit West End production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Sam Mendes, announced today that it has extended its booking period by six months until 1 November 2014. The show had previously been booking until 31 May 2014. The production, which has so far been seen by almost 300,000 people since it began previews in May 2013, is extending its run due to popular demand, releasing almost 400,000 extra tickets.
