Hartford Stage Hosting Two Special Exhibits During DIVINE RIVALRY, 3/2-3/20

Hartford Stage will celebrate the artistic partnership among director Michael Wilson, set designer Jeff Cowie, and sound designer John Gromada in Working with Michael, a multi-media exhibit in 'room,' Hartford Stage's new function space. At the same time, the theatre will unveil Part II of Capturing the Moment, a season-long retrospective of the work of company photographer T. Charles Ericson, commemorating his 25 years with Hartford Stage. The Ericson installation will be in the theatre's upper lobby. The exhibits coincide with the run of Divine Rivalry, a world premiere play by noted political journalist Michael Kramer, which is the last MainStage production Wilson will be directing as Hartford Stage Artistic Director. Cowie designed the sets for the production, and Gromada the sound and original music. Official opening of both exhibits is Wednesday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m., directly before the 7:30 performance of Divine Rivalry.

Carina Morales & James LaRosa Lead THE MELODY LINGERS ON 3/14-5/6

Carina Morales (fresh off a two year stint starring in The Golden Mickeys at Disneyland, Hong Kong) and James LaRosa (who starred opposite Robert Cuccioli in Cy Coleman's Wildcat at the Julia Miles Theatre) will star in Inside Broadway's spring 2011 tour of THE MELODY LINGERS ON - The Songs of Irving Berlin, which will begin on Monday, March 14th and run thru May 6th, touring over thirty NYC public schools throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens.

Kathleen Turner Leads HIGH, Begins Rehearsals 2/28

Rehearsals begin on Monday, February 28th for Matthew Lombardo's new play HIGH, directed by Rob Ruggiero, starring two-time Golden Globe® winner, Academy Award® & Tony Award® nominee Kathleen Turner as "Sister Jamison Connelly", Tony Award® nominee Stephen Kunken (Enron) as "Father Michael Delpapp" and Evan Jonigkeit making his Broadway debut as "Cody Randall".

GHCC Honors Phylicia Rashad, Jeffrey Wright, et al., 2/28

In honor their Black History Month Highlights, The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, The Harlem Arts Alliance and The Broadway League will recognize a select group of actors, playwrights, producers for their outstanding contributions in the theatre on and off-stage. The event will take place on February 28th at the Gran Piatto d'Oro (1429 5th Avenue@ 116th & 117th Street).

BLACKS ON B'WAY AND BEYOND Honored At Black History Month Conference, 2/28

In honor their Black History Month Highlights, The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, The Harlem Arts Alliance and The Broadway League will recognize a select group of actors, playwrights, producers for their outstanding contributions in the theatre on and off-stage.

Leigh Leads MARY POPPINS in Philadelphia This Spring; Cast Announced

Producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh are pleased to announce full casting for the Philadelphia engagement of MARY POPPINS. Philadelphia's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Academy of Music on Wednesday, March 23 for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, April 17 as part of the Broadway Season, presented by the Kimmel Center and the Shubert Organization. The opening night (press opening) is Friday, March 25 at 8:00 pm.
