Cast members from the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical, ONCE will perform at 54 BELOW on Sunday, February 17 at 7pm at 254 West 54th Street. The company will present a mix of original music, covers songs and even some tunes cut from the hit musical itself, all under the musical direction of David Abeles. As reported last night, the producers of the eight-time Tony award-winning musical Once today announce that Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cviteši? will lead the cast as Guy and Girl respectively in John Tiffany's West End production of the Broadway hit musical opening at the Phoenix Theatre in Spring 2013.

According to the Daily Mail, Croatian actress Zrinka Cvitesic will play the female lead in Once at the Gaiety in Dublin, February 22 before transferring to the Phoenix in London on March 16, 2013. Cvitesic will join Declan Bennett under the direction of John Tiffany.

Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time Tony Award-winning play by Tony Award-nominee Rick Elice, will play its final Broadway performance today, January 20, 2013, ending its nearly year-long run. Directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on March 28, 2012, and opened April 15, 2012, and is playing at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre. After eighty-six years, the Grand Theatre - home of The Road Company Theater Group, Inc. since 1976 - fell silent on May 14, 2010 when its roof collapsed, destroying the entire venue. This was a devastating tragedy for theater-goers throughout the Delaware Valley and it hit Southern New Jersey with significant impact. Now, after over two-and-a-half years of tireless hard work, fundraising, advocating, and numerous meetings with architects and contractors, the Grand has been rebuilt. Although Ann Hampton Callaway has been performing as a nightclub nightingale for around 30 years, I feel like I've caught her act in the absolute prime of her career. Because while 54 Below may have opened it's glorious nightclub in June with Broadway musical legend Patti Lapone, and subsequently booked an All-Star team of women musical theater standouts such as Marin Mazzie, Rebecca Luker, Faith Prince, Sheri Rene Scott, Leslie Uggams, and even Ann's sister Liz Callaway, it's only fitting that a charismatic cabaret chanteuse and down-to-earth diva like Ann Hampton Callaway has become the quintessential Queen of 54 Below.

John Tiffany's production of Once, winner of eight 2012 Tony awards including Best New Musical, will open in the West End in Spring 2013. With book by award-winning Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh, the London production of Once will open at the Phoenix Theatre on 9 April, with previews from 16 March 2013. Currently booking to 30 November 2013, Once will be produced in the West End by Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, Orin Wolf and Michael Rose Limited in association with New York Theatre Workshop. Prior to its West End opening Once will run at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin from 22 February - 9 March 2013.

America's favorite holiday tradition, the 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, returns to dazzle and enchant millions nationwide today, Thursday, November 22. The festivities will be featured both on NBC and CBS, each providing performances from different Broadway companies. The producers of Broadway's ONCE are seeking one five to seven year old girl to play IVANKA, the sweet natured daughter of GIRL. Actresses should be comfortable on stage and have the ability to sing. According to the Daily Mail, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Once has found a London home at the Phoenix Theatre and is set to begin performances in March 2013.

With a career encompassing Broadway, TV and film, veteran comic actress Jane Kean is best known for playing Trixie Norton in the hour-long color, musical version of the Honeymooners series (1966-70). Kean presented her one-woman show onstage at the Colony Saturday September 8.
