Devi Girl Productions presents the U.S. Premiere of IMMACULATE, by Oliver Lansley at Summer Shares at La MaMa, The First Floor Theatere at 74 East 4th Street, today, July 25th -28th.

The first weeklong residency was held at The Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in Tarrytown, New York from June 21-29. It featured playwrights Stephen Brown and Max Posner, along with director Portia Krieger and a company of actors. The Pocantico Center residency, established in 2008 by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, supports artists in their creative process. This was Page 73's fifth summer sending playwrights to the residency.

The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) has announced that 33 not-for-profit theater companies have been awarded grants totaling $3,530,000 through The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation New York Theater Program. The recipients, which cover a range of small-to-mid-sized organizations-- from those which produce the classics to others exclusively devoted to the development of new work-- include The Chocolate Factory Theater in Queens, Pregones Theater in the Bronx, and St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn (a complete list follows). These two-year grants, which range from $10,000 to $200,000, based on each recipient's operating budget, support the organizations' general operations.

Juilliard's Drama Division announces the 2013-2014 season of fully-staged productions featuring Juilliard's 43rd group of acting students in their fourth and final year in the drama program at Juilliard. This season's plays include Jeffrey Hatcher's Smash, directed by Victor Pappas; Amy Herzog's The Great God Pan, directed by Maria Mileaf; and Sam Shepard's Buried Child, directed by Daniel Fish. All performances take place in the Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater at Juilliard.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the Globe's revival of N. Richard Nash's classic romantic comedyThe Rainmaker. Directed by Maria Mileaf, The Rainmaker will run July 13 - August 11, 2013 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run July 13 - July 17. 'Humor Abuse,' the hilarious and heartfelt story of growing up in a circus, created by Lorenzo Pisoni and Erica Schmidt, directed by Schmidt and featuring a tour de force performance by Pisoni, will be presented at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum, September 17 through November 3, 2013. The opening is set for September 21.

Tonight, May 13, 2013, Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, will honor Ruth and Stephen Hendel and Ming Cho Lee with a Gala Evening at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York City. The Gala co-chairs are playwright Lydia R. Diamond and interior designer Jasmine M. Keller. The Gala honorary chairs are Anne Kaufman, Obie award-winning director; Nelle Nugent, Broadway producer; Judith O. Rubin, chairman of the board of Playwrights Horizons; and Liz Smith, columnist and 'The Grand Dame of Dish'.

The Play Company's Idea Lab, in collaboration with Goethe-Institut New York and the German Consulate New York, is proud to present a public event featuring internationally acclaimed German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig, in conjunction with our New York premiere production of his play THE GOLDEN DRAGON. Mr. Schimmelpfennig will discuss his award-winning play THE GOLDEN DRAGON, his larger body of work, and trends in German theatre today, May 12 @ 4:15pm -- immediately following the 3pm matinee performance of THE GOLDEN GRAGON at The New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher Street. For the sixth installment of the Duct Tape and A Dream Festival, collaborative new works company Roots and Wings will showcase eight fresh premiers divided between two programs running in repertory May 15th-19th, 2013: A "Duct Tape" Program and a "Dream" Program. Both nightly programs are anchored by one longer piece and feature three shorter new works. The festival is truly eclectic including dance, clowning, devised theatre, a multi-media show, and new plays exploring a variety of subjects all written by emerging artists. The programs will play in rotation at the Bridge Theatre @ Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor.

CABARET GOURMET -- the Obie Award-winning Play Company's annual benefit that combines gourmet foods from top NYC restaurants with an evening of first-rate entertainment -- will be presented this year tonight, April 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the American Airlines Theater Penthouse (227 W. 42 St.) with the Tony Award-nominated actor Daniel Breaker (PASSING STRANGE) featured as the event's host and performer.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer) have just announced full casting for the upcoming world premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY, the new play featuring gospel music directed by Trip Cullman.

Hidden secrets are unearthed and family tensions fly high in Pulitzer Prize nominee Jon Robin Baitz's contemporary family drama Other Desert Cities. Helen Hayes Award winner and former Arena Stage Associate Artistic Director Kyle Donnelly returns to direct the D.C.-area premiere of the show with a cast that features Tony Award nominee and two-time Helen Hayes Award winner Helen Carey (Mary Tyrone in Arena Stage's Long Day's Journey into Night, Broadway's Hedda Gabler) as matriarch Polly Wyeth and two-time Tony Award nominee Larry Bryggman (Broadway's Harvey, CBS's As the World Turns) as patriarch Lyman Wyeth. Rounding out the cast are Emily Donahoe (Broadway's 33 Variations) as daughter Brooke Wyeth, Scott Drummond (Cherry Lane Theatre's A Perfect Future) as son Trip Wyeth and Martha Hackett (Pacific Resident Theatre's Nora) as their aunt Silda Grauman. Other Desert Cities runs April 26-May 26, 2013 in the Fichandler Stage.
