Michael Kimmel's DOG WHISTLE to Look at Modern Politics at Playhouse on Park

Join Playhouse on Park in designating the Greater Hartford area as a premiere destination for the cultivation of innovative theatrical work! The Playwrights on Park Reading Series was created for this very purpose, and the next evening in this exciting series is Tuesday, November 7 at 7:30pm with Michael Kimmel's Dog Whistle.

Jessica Stone's BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, Kathleen Marshall-Helmed 'MUCH ADO' and More Set for The Old Globe's 2018 Summer Season

The Old Globe today announced the additional productions in its 2018 Summer Season, including the classic Neil Simon comedy Barefoot in the Park directed by Jessica Stone (Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, Arms and the Man, and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at the Globe), which will run July 28 - August 26, 2018. The Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup will include The Tempest, running June 17 - July 22, 2018, and Much Ado About Nothing, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (the Globe's Love's Labor's Lost), running August 12 - September 16.

Yale Rep to Present Nambi E. Kelley's Stage Adaptation of NATIVE SON

Yale Repertory Theatre presents NATIVE SON, the critically acclaimed new play by Nambi E. Kelley adapted from the iconic American novel by Richard Wright, directed by Seret Scott, November 24 December 16 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, November 30.

Pan Asian Rep Kicks Off 'TWO FACES OF MODERN ASIA' Series Tonight

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre presents two new plays as part of the staged reading series Two Faces of Modern Asia: Fulfillment by Jeremy Tiang, directed by Mei Ann Teo (tonight, October 20, 2017) and UN by John Kim, directed by Flordelino Lagundino (October 27, 2017).

Berkeley Rep Presents Hellman's WATCH ON THE RHINE

Berkeley Repertory Theatre presents Watch on the Rhine, Lillian Hellman's 1940s political thriller about loyalty, family, and sacrifice. The play, directed by Berkeley Rep's associate director Lisa Peterson, begins previews on Thursday, November 30, 2017 and runs through Sunday, January 14, 2018. Individual tickets begin at $30 and can be purchased online at berkeleyrep.org or by phone at 510 647-2949. Press night will be on Monday, December 4.

Celebrate the Day of the Dead with coLAB and AXIS Events at The Old Globe

The Old Globe believes that theatre matters, and our work each day is to make theatre matter to more people. We invite friends and families to celebrate the great Mexican tradition Day of the Dead (D a de los Muertos) with a weekend full of unique activities and artistic expression, as well as three premiere performances of a community-generated theatre piece.

InnerMission Productions to Present FALLING A San Diego Premiere

InnerMission Productions has announced the final production of its 2017-18 season, Falling. This San Diego premiere was written by Deanna Jent and will be directed by Samantha Ginn. Falling begins on Friday, November 11, 2017 and plays through Saturday, November 25, 2017 with a press opening on Friday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. In the Black Box space at Diversionary Theatre.

Art and Politics Will Collide in Rubicon's TAKING SIDES

Rubicon Theatre Company (RTC) opens the company's 2017-2018 20th Anniversary Season with a provocative and gripping drama based on the story of German conductor and composer Wilhelm Furtw ngler, who remained in Germany after Hitler's rise to power and was later accused of being a Nazi sympathizer.
