Grammy-winning new-music choir, The Crossing, announces a program change to its current concert season with For Joe on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 8pm at The Crossing's home, The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill. For Joe honors the life of Joseph Flummerfelt, the preeminent choral conductor of our time who passed away on March 1. Flummerfelt was a former teacher of conductor Donald Nally and together they wrote the 2011 book Conversations With Joseph Flummerfelt: Thoughts on Conducting, Music, and Musicians.
Tulsa Opera concludes its 2018-19 season this May with performances of Mozart's Don Giovanni, featuring American-born, Germany-based transgender baritone Lucia Lucas in the title role, which marks her main-stage U.S. operatic debut and role debut. Performances take place at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 at 2:30 p.m.

New Philharmonic, under the direction of Maestro Kirk Muspratt, opens 2019 with Johann Strauss II's "Die Fledermaus," libretto by Karl Haffner and Richard Genee, Saturday,Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. The operetta, staged by Michael La Tour, will be sung in English.
