Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts announces the winter/spring confirmed performances to take place at The Barns at Wolf Trap, the first scheduled for October 4 at 8 pm. This year's season features international stars from a wide array of musical backgrounds and genres, including classical, jazz, folk, bluegrass, pop, rock, world music, and more. The 56 shows booked thus far include seven Barns debuts, a list that is sure to grow as additional announcements are made throughout the fall. Tickets are currently on sale to the general public.

Launching on September 29th in Studio City, this night of incredible entertainment and comedy will introduce Brando Murphy, who is starring in a biopic on the life of superstar Eddie Murphy, and Mason Pryor, son of the legendary Richard Pryor, to the big stage. Murphy and Pryor are ready to plant their own flag with the 'Sons' brand, alongside several other performers with promises of a night full of big laughs.

Gotham Early Music Scene (GEMS), an organization that enriches public understanding and appreciation of early music in New York City, has played a major role in revitalizing the early music community since its founding in 2007. GEMS will be celebrating its milestone fifth anniversary this October through January, beginning with a gala concert and reception on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the New York Society for Ethical Culture, 2 West 64th Street, in Manhattan.
