Last night, The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. The one-night-only benefit performance, directed by Diane Paulus, took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall. BroadwayWorld has photos from the show and after-party below!

Broadway actor Ryan Link is set to join the touring cast of HAIR, playing Woof, a role he previously understudied in the 2009 revival's Broadway run at the Hirschfeld Theater.

Since the Tony Award-winning production of HAIR took off across the country last fall, tribe members Josh Lamon (Margaret Mead / Dad) and Allison Guinn (Mother / Buddhadalirama) have been reporting from the road, giving fans a backstage peak at the HAIR tribe's daily life as they traveled the nation.
