The Alliance Theatre is pleased to present the world premiere production, EDWARD FOOTE, by award-winning Atlanta playwright and author Phillip DePoy. EDWARD FOOTE, a Gothic murder mystery set to haunting Appalachian folk song, will premiere on the Hertz Stage tonight, March 27 - April 19, 2015. Opening night is April 1, 2015.

The 47th season includes five world premieres, a musical by BeBe Winans and Charles Randolph-Wright, a Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, a literary classic featuring an all-Atlanta cast, and exceptional productions for youth and families.

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce the three artistic projects chosen for development during its second annual Reiser Atlanta Artists Lab. Each project will receive $10,000 to use toward further exploration and development, as well as access to the Alliance's artistic, educational and production staffs, and rehearsal spaces. The lab productions will be presented in free performances in the Spring of 2016.

The Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition continues to spotlight the best emerging playwrights with a full production for the competition winner and staged readings for four competition finalists. THE C.A. Lyons Project, the 11th competition winner, will premiere on the Hertz Stage February 13 - March 8, 2015. Opening night is February 18, 2015.

The award-winning Dad's Garage Ensemble will parody the quintessential Christmas story It's a Wonderful Life with a fun rotating cast of familiar and not-so-familiar characters. It's a Wonderful Laugh runs on the Hertz Stage from November 28 - December 20, 2014. Opening Night is Today, December 5, 8:00 p.m.

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce the promotion of Christopher Moses to Associate Artistic Director. Moses joined the education staff of the Alliance Theatre in 2000 and has served as the Alliance's Director of Educational Programs since 2011. CHICO AND THE GYPSIES, legends in their native France and multi-platinum recording artists around the world, are to make their long awaited UK concert debut on November 30th with a special one-off show at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Festival goers will get the chance to experience the extraordinary Gipsy Kings in an exclusive UK performance in 2014 as they take a break from their 25th Anniversary US tour to appear at the Cornbury Music Festival. The band, famed for its unique rumba flamenco style, won this year's Grammy for Best World Music Album for Savor Flamenco, after being nominated a record six times, and selling more than 25 million albums worldwide. They became popular internationally with their first album which included the timeless Bamboleo - a song that has become the sound of the summer across the world.
