Linda Lavin and Nilaja Sun Set for The Fortune Society Celebration, 6/18

On June 18, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., Award-winning actresses Linda Lavin and Nilaja Sun will join The Fortune Society as it celebrates the 10th anniversary of "The Castle"- a West Harlem supportive housing program that, over the last decade, has provided critical services and support to more than 1,000 formerly homeless men and women who served time in prison. Also attending the event will be former Governor of New Jersey James McGreevey.

'Us Dialogues' to Follow Performances of UNFRAMED at John Jay, 9/23 -5

Immediately following this week's performances of Iyaba Ibo Mandingo's unFRAMED: A Man in Progress, Jane Dubin, Executive Producer will be JUST-US Dialogues with a panel of contributors who are experienced in the themes of Art and Justice and represent different aspects of the performance.

Beautiful Soup Theatre Collective Presents CROSSING BROOKLYN 1/27

The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective is presenting 'Crossing Brooklyn,' with music by Larson Award-winner Jenny Giering (Alice Unwrapped, Saint-Ex, The Mistress Cycles) and Book and Lyrics by Kleban Award-winner Laura Harrington (N Bonaparte, Resurrection, Alice Unwrapped). Set in New York City in 2002, 'Crossing Brooklyn' tells the story of Des and AJ, young, idealistic public school teachers bent on changing the world, one kid at a time. Life is full of promise and endless possibility until Des begins to unravel under the weight of her fears, ignited that fateful September day. Splitting apart under the strain, Des and AJ struggle to find their way back to each other. This innovative production will use original multimedia film pieces by filmmaker Brian Oh (Deeproot Films) to help tell Des' and AJ's stories.

By popular demand, producers Eric Krebs and Chase Mishkin have announced that their Off-Broadway hit, The Castle, have will be extended through August 30th at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).
