TCTC's production of "Santa's Toy Factory" will feature not only LOCAL 12's morning team of anchor Bob Herzog and meteorologist John Gumm as the Miser Brothers (Heat and Snow, respectively -- you might remember them from the 1970s TV special The Year Without a Santa Claus), but also, 16 year-old Eben Franckewitz fresh off American Idol starring as the show's leading character, Wendell the Elf. Eben made history last season when he was the youngest American Idol hopeful to ever make it into the top 24.

Sightings of a mysterious green figure wearing a Santa suit have been occurring throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul, and activity has been traced back to Children's Theatre Company (CTC) and its current tenant, The Grinch (Grinch). Photographs of Grinch creating chaos in CTC offices and the Whittier neighborhood were found by CTC staff on Monday, October 29. Surveillance camera footage confirms that Grinch has been sneaking around the Target lobby, stealing Dr. Seuss merchandise from kiosks. CTC announced in a recent email broadcast that the holiday cheer threat level has been raised. Watch footage of Grinch caught on camera below!
