Violinist Nicola Benedetti will make her New York Philharmonic subscription debut - replacing Janine Jansen, who has been advised by her doctor not to play for at least a week - in performances of Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 1. Vladimir Jurowski will make his Philharmonic debut conducting the concerts, tonight, May 21, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m.; and Saturday, May 24 at 8:00 p.m. The program will conclude with selections from Prokofiev's Cinderella.

Michael Pink's World Premiere Mirror, Mirror conjures a spell that leaves the audience speechless except for the applause of a standing ovation in Uhlien Hall at Milwaukee's Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. In collaboration with the Milwaukee Ballet Company, Andrews Sill and the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, Composer Philip Fenney, Lighting Designer David Grill and Costume and Scenic Designer Todd Edward Ivins, Pink's masterpiece production on the Thursday night opening of the fairy tale Snow White presented a majestic full-length theatrical ballet for Milwaukee audiences.

Based on the story by The Brothers Grimm, Orlando Shakes actor/playwright Brandon Roberts returns with another family-friendly adaptation after past summer hits Sleeping Beauty (2013) and Cinderella (2012). Complete with a brave princess, a clueless king, and a magical plunger, audiences of all ages will enjoy this silly production, presented in the intimate Goldman Theater. Contemporary retellings of classic fairy tales fit for all ages are among the highlights of Arts Centre Melbourne's spellbinding Families & Youth 2014 Winter/Spring program. From June to November, a unique mix of theatre, dance, circus, puppetry, rap and opera from seven countries will capture the imagination of the young and young at heart.

The Eisemann Center and the City of Richardson announced the 2014-2015 Season of Eisemann Center Presents (ECP) at the Annual Season Preview Party on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The season will include the popular Theatre Comedy Series with four productions and 23 performances; the Methodist Richardson Family Theatre Series with five productions and Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations with a total of four concerts. Performing at the Lincoln Center is the be-all and end-all for dancers. The stakes are high, the pressure is on, and everyone is watching you. This is what all dancers aspire to. Needless to say, my expectations were high going into the evening. So how did Ballet Preljocaj hold up to the pressure? They left me breathless. The outstanding company proved why this is the dream for dancers. Just when you think that dance has nothing new to offer, that every performance you see is the same old, same old, something like this comes along and restores your faith in dance.

SLEEPING BEAUTY, the magical retelling of the Brothers Grimm tale, will be presented from April 23 through June 7 at Drury Lane Theatre for Young Adults, 100 Drury Lane, in Oakbrook Terrace. Beautifully reimagined by Marc Robin, the beloved musical is certain to delight and surprise young audiences. The production is directed by Jeff Award winner Tammy Mader (Sunset Boulevard, Gypsy, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hairspray at Drury Lane Theatre). Drury Lane Theatre also offers families the special opportunity to have breakfast with characters from SLEEPING BEAUTY on select performance dates in the dining room with a festive buffet.

The Joyce Theater Foundation will present the New York premiere of Ballet Preljocaj's widely praised production of Snow White, with choreography by Angelin Preljocaj at the David H. Koch Theater. This international eventwill only be in New York City for six performances, from tonight, April 23 - 27, 2014.

The new youth production of The Rockin' Tale of Snow White makes its TexARTS premier for a two-week engagement at the Kam & James Morris Theatre on April 26-27 and May 3-4.
