Mannheim Steamroller to Launch 30th Anniversary Christmas Tour in November

Chip Davis, founder and creator of Mannheim Steamroller and the industry's largest independent record label, American Gramaphone, announced that his annual Christmas concert tour will begin on Wednesday, November 12 and continue through Sunday, December 28. Two traveling ensembles will hold 85 performances across the country.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will present El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico as part of the 4th annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival being held June 20-22, 2014 in the heart of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's downtown Cultural District. The free festival consists of three days of jazz and jazz-influenced musical performances on outdoor stages and attracts more than 20,000 attendees from around the country. This year's performance will feature one of the oldest and best-known salsa bands in the world, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. The performance is sponsored by ImaginePittsburgh.com.

On May 16, 17 and 18, it's SIXTIES HITS with the Midtown Men, the original cast members of Broadway's Jersey Boys, who are bringing their sensational sound to Philadelphia to Verizon Hall in The Kimmel Center. The talented quartet consists of Tony Award-winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer. They will join conductor Michael Krajewski and The Philly POPS and perform the music of The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Motown, of course, The Four Seasons and more.

America loves cars, big or beautiful cars, and the late playwright James McLure uses a classical 1959 Thunderbird as a metaphor for his two one act plays In Tandem Theater blends into their season ending selection: 1959 Pink Thunderbird. These two one act plays directed by both Jane and Chris Flieller feature a feminine version and a masculine perspective on why the ionic pink T-bird, often immortalized in such songs as “Fun, Fun, Fun” by the Beach Boys, became romantic inspiration for hometown stories and legends, including those in Maynard, Texas, circa 1978.
