Arctic Monkeys Open for Black Keys in New York, 3/22

Arctic Monkeys creative partnership with LA-based filmmakers Focus Creeps continues with the release of the "Black Treacle" video. "Black Treacle" - an instant fan favorite since the release of Suck It And See last year- is definitive Monkeys: verbose, witty and drenched in shimmering, languid guitars. The video, filmed in California last year, sees drummer Matt Helders reprising his role of devilish desert outlaw. The "Black Treacle" single will be released digitally on Jan 23rd and on 7-inch vinyl on Feb 21st. The single will be backed with the exclusive new track "You And I" by Richard Hawley and The Death Ramps, which was recorded and produced by Ross Orton.

SING, HARLEM, SING! Comes to the Dempsey Theater, April 28

ing, Harlem, Sing!, a musical revue created by Vy Higginsen and directed by Ken Wydro (the creative team behind the gospel musical Mama, I Want To Sing) will begin weekly performances at The Dempsey Theatre (127 W. 127th Street, between Lenox and 7th Avenues) on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.

PINKALICIOUS Goes Green for St. Patrick's Day

Broadway In Chicago today announced that Emerald City Theatre's 2010 hitPINKALICIOUS: THE MUSICAL will Go Green! for St. Patrick's Day weekend performances, March 17 and March 18, 2012, playing at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St). Individual tickets are on sale now.

Apollo Theater Announces New Programs and Partnerships

The Apollo Theater has announced a series of programs and partnerships which build on its longstanding role as a creative catalyst for Harlem, New York, and the nation. New initiatives, including the launch of the interactive Amateur Night Digital website and mobile app, are expanding the Apollo's reach beyond the walls of the Theater, while artistic and community programs continue to make the Apollo a vital cultural resource and an important platform for both emerging and established artists.

Apollo Theatre Celebrates Women's History Month

In celebration of Women's History Month, the Apollo Theater will host Behind the Scenes: Women in Theatre on Monday, March 12. The free panel, which focuses on women's careers in the theatrical industry, is presented by the Apollo Theater Education Program, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, The Broadway League and the League of Professional Theatre Women, as part of the "Made in NY" Industry Series. The panel begins at 6:30p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Chicago's MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Extends Through September 2

Million Dollar Quartet continues performances through September 2, 2012 with cast members Brandon Bennett (Elvis Presley), Shaun Whitley (Carl Perkins), Lance Lipinsky (Jerry Lee Lewis), Sean Sullivan (Johnny Cash), Tim Decker (Sam Phillips), Johanna McKenzie Miller (Dyanne), Brad Ber (Jay Perkins/Bass player) and Dan Leali (Fluke/Drummer).

Kurt Peterson and Victoria Mallory Set for WHEN EVERYTHING WAS POSSIBLE Benefit Concert, 4/29

James William Productions and Stephenie Skyllas will present Kurt Peterson and Victoria Mallory in When Everything Was Possible, A Concert (with comments), for one night only, Sunday April 29th (7:30pm) at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues), as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. They will be joined by a thirteen-piece band (Michael Rafter, Music Director), playing new orchestrations by Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick. Larry Moss directs, with musical staging by Joshua Bergasse ("Smash"). Carolyn Wong will provide lighting design, with sound design by Leon Rothenberg and projection design by Telegraphicmedia.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Makes Memphis Premiere at Orpheum Theatre

The national tour of the Broadway musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by a true story, premieres in Memphis today at Orpheum Theatre and runs through February 19.
