Tony Winner Rosemary Harris to Star in Roundabout Theatre's INDIAN INK this Fall

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced Tony Award winner Rosemary Harris will play the role of 'Eleanor Swan' in the Off-Broadway premiere of Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink, directed by Carey Perloff. The production will begin performances on September 4 and open Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold & Miriam Steinberg Centre for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).

Original Philippine Music Takes Center Stage in NYC

While the Filipino food pancit, lumpia, and balut are slowly breaking into mainstream America, Original Philippine Music (OPM) should not be too far behind—food and music go well together anyway, which has inspired Synergy Productions and Marketing Inc. to stage the concert “An Evening of Original Philippine Music with Cecile Azarcon and Sounds of Manila” at Peter Norton Symphony Space (2537 Broadway and 95th Street) on Sunday, April 27, at 7 p.m.

Harlem Stage Announces 2014 Harlem Jazz Shrines Festival Lineup; Kicks Off 5/4

When the Harlem Renaissance was in vogue at the dawn of the 20th Century, the jazz clubs around Jungle Alley, between Lenox and Seventh Avenue - The Savoy Ballroom, Small's Paradise, Minton's Playhouse, Clark Monroe's Uptown House, The Ubangi Club, Park Palace, Connie's Inn, and others - were the place to be. These immortal nightclubs, concert halls, cabarets, speakeasies and ballrooms, will be channeled and showcased May 4 - 10 at the Fourth Annual Harlem Jazz Shrines Festival.

Tom Brokaw's SPACE RACE Airs Tomorrow on NBC

Apollo Chorus to Perform at University of Chicago's Rockefeller Chapel, 2/22

The Apollo Chorus will present Choral Classics-Mozart's Great Mass in C & Dvorak's Te Deum on Saturday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. at University of Chicago's Rockefeller Chapel, 5850 S. Woodlawn Ave. The historic chapel provides a stunning setting for the concert, featuring the 150-member choir conducted by The Apollo Chorus Music Director Dr. Stephen Alltop.

David Lan to Lead Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center as Artistic Director; Sexton, Hayles & Daldry Join Team

The Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center ('the PAC') today announces the establishment of a core team of artistic leaders: David Lan (Artistic Director of London's Young Vic) as Consulting Artistic Director; Lucy Sexton (artist, producer, and Director of the New York Dance & Performance Awards (aka The Bessies)) as Associate Artistic Director; and Andy Hayles, Managing Partner of Charcoalblue (London's National Theatre, Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, and the future home of Brooklyn's St. Ann's Warehouse), as theater design consultant. Stephen Daldry (director of the films The Hours, Billy Elliot, The Reader and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and of Billy Elliot the Musical, and former Artistic Director of London's Gate Theatre and Royal Court Theatre) has joined the PAC's Board of Directors. The artistic team is collaborating with the PAC's staff, board and numerous consultants to create a place that is unique on the cultural landscapes of New York, the United States and the world.

Cult Musical COOL RIDER Returns to The Duchess Theatre for One Week Only in April

American Stage Theatre Company is excited to announce an added performance for August Wilson's 2 TRAINS RUNNING.
