Multi award winning playwright/lyricist Steven Sater has chosen LA's Rogue Machine to present the World premiere of his play NEW YORK ANIMALS. Casting has been finalized.

New York's OBIE Award-winning Epic Theatre Ensemble (Zak Berkman, Melissa Friedman, Ron Russell, Founding Executive Directors) today announced the cast and creative team for the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play (In The Next Room… or the vibrator play) and directed by Mark Wing-Davey (The Singing Forest). The cast will include Brendan Averett, Polly Noonan, Daniel Pearce, Alex Podulke, Keith Reddin, Godfrey L. Simmons Jr., T. Ryder Smith, Felix Solis Jr., Kate Turnbull and Nicole Wiesner.

Stage and screen star Dennis Hopper has, sadly passed away at the age of 74 today from prostate cancer. The actor passed away at his home in Venice, California, surrounded by family and friends.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Little Doc, written by award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores and directed by John Gould Rubin. Opening the company's 16th Season, performances of Little Doc will begin Friday, June 11 at Rattlestick Theatre (224 Waverly Place). The official opening night is set for Thursday, June 17. The production is scheduled to run through July 18.

Walking Fish Theatre will end its production of Gravedigger: The Plays of Mark Borlowski on May 23. The three one-act plays are based on characters from the playwright's upbringing in Kensington.
