Steve Carell Visits Bravo's INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO Tonight

Bravo Media's Emmy Award-winning INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, hosted by James Lipton, presents a hilarious and heartwarming episode with Academy Award-nominated actor Steve Carell tonight, December 17 at 8pm ET/PT.

Will Pullen and More Lead Workshop of Daniel Talbott's WHAT HAPPENED WHEN, Starting Tonight

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that WHAT HAPPENED WHEN, a workshop production written and directed by Daniel Talbott, will play for one week begining tonight, December 15, at 7pm. Produced in association with {Your Name Here}, the workshop will play Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place).

Lois Smith Leads MARJORIE PRIME, Opening Tonight at Playwrights Horizons

Playwrights Horizons presents the New York premiere of 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist Marjorie Prime, a new play by Jordan Harrison (Maple and Vine, Doris to Darlene at PH; Amazons and Their Men; Kid-Simple; 'Orange is the New Black'). Commissioned by Playwrights Horizons and directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman (Detroit, Maple and Vine, Your Mother's Copy of the Kama Sutra at PH; Belleville; This Wide Night; The Thugs), the play is the third production of the theater company's 2015/2016 Season. The production opens tonight, December 14, at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street), and will play a limited engagement through Sunday, January 3.

Steve Carell Set for Bravo's INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO

 Bravo Media's Emmy Award-winning “Inside the Actors Studio,” hosted by James Lipton, presents a hilarious and heartwarming episode with Academy Award-nominated actor Steve Carell on Thursday, December 17 at 8pm ET/PT.  Lipton welcomes the multi-faceted talent in celebration of his performance in the true-life drama, “The Big Short,” where Carell plays Mark Baum, a money manager who shorted subprime mortgages during the housing and credit bubbles in 2008. With awards season underway, “The Big Short” has just been nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards and four Golden Globe Awards ®, including a nomination for Carell in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category for his portrayal of Mark Baum. This marks his eighth Golden Globe Award nomination and the first in this category. The film hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, December 11th and nationwide on December 23rd.

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company to Present TENNESSEE WILLIAMS 1982 in 2016

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company presents Tennessee Williams 1982, an evening of two, little known, one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, both completed in 1982, the year before the playwrights death. Directed by Cosmin Chivu (2013 revival of Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated), Tennessee Williams 1982 features the world premiere of A Recluse and His Guest and New York Premiere of The Remarkable Rooming-House of Mme. Le Monde.

Kushner, Pendleton & More to Celebrate Eric Bentley at Centennial Concert at The Town Hall, 12/7

This year,legendary playwright, singer, editor and translator and Theatre Hall of Fame inductee Eric Bentley turned 99 years old. In celebration of this milestone and a century of his contributions to the international theatre world, a special one night-only birthday celebration has been announced: 'Happy Birthday, Eric Bentley! A Centennial Tribute Concert' will take place on December 7, 2015 at 8:00 PM.
