Photo Flash: MURDER FOR TWO Opens This Friday At Actors' Playhouse

Actors' Playhouse presents the mystery musical comedy Murder for Two, with book and music by Joe Kinosian and book and lyrics by Kellen Blair, from July 17 – August 11, 2019 at the Miracle Theatre. The production will preview on Wednesday and Thursday, July 17 – 18, 2019, and open on Friday, July 19, 2019.

Portland Shakes' Presents PROSCENIUM LIVE Free Festival Of New Work

Portland Shakespeare Project and Proscenium Journal present the fifth annual Proscenium Live Festival of New Work with two days of fresh plays. This year's festival takes place at Portland State University's Lincoln Hall, in the Boiler Room Studio Theater. All performances are free, no ticket reservations are necessary, and seating is general admission.

Playwrights Foundation Announces Details of Bay Area Playwrights Festival 2019

Playwrights Foundation, the West Coast's premiere launchpad for exceptional emerging playwrights has named the artistic teams, actors and daily schedule for the 2019 Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF). The 2019 Bay Area Playwrights Festival runs July 19-28, 2019 at Potrero Stage at the base of San Francisco's Potrero hill.

Durango PlayFest Announces Cast For New Works Festival

Durango PlayFest today announced a cast of 11 New York- and Los Angeles-based actors who will headline four plays being developed at its new works festival. The August 5-10 event brings nationally recognized actors, playwrights and directors to Durango to incubate new plays, hold workshops for the community, and culminate the week with staged readings. Westchester Collaborative Theater Showcases Brand New Short Plays

Brand New Shorts, Westchester Collaborative Theater's (WCT) latest 10-minute play festival directed by Ossining resident Nathan Flower, associate arts professor at NYU's Tisch Drama, will run weekends from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 28.

ROMEO AND JULIET Comes To Queens For Rude Grooms' Second Annual Free Commons Series

Queens-based Rude Grooms announced today initial details for the company's second annual free summer production touring parks and art spaces in Astoria and Long Island City: William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, led by actor-manager Montgomery Sutton (Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe) and produced in partnership with Long Island City Artists at the Plaxall Gallery and the Astoria Park Alliance and is made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

Alexandra Silber, Frances Ruffelle & More Set for NELL GWYNN Reading

The Acting Company (Founded by John Houseman and Margot Harley; Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) announced casting today for the next reading in the 23rd John McDonald Salon Reading Series, Jessica Swale's Olivier Award-winning, music-filled comedy Nell Gwynn. CATF Welcomes The 2019 Company

With a picnic hosted by the Board of Trustees, the Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University welcomes 2019 company members.
