TV: First Look at Gregory Wooddell, Christina Pumariega and More in CST's HENRY VIII - Highlights!

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces William Shakespeare's Henry VIII, the first professional Chicago production in 400 years since its debut at Shakespeare's Globe in London. Staged by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines in CST's Courtyard Theater April 30-June 16, 2013, Henry VIII features a celebrated company of artists that includes Gregory Wooddell in the title role and Christina Pumariega as Anne Boleyn. The Acting Company features an ensemble of veteran CST actors which includes Kate Buddeke, David Darlow, Kevin Gudahl, Scott Jaeck, Ora Jones, David Lively and Mike Nussbaum. Civic Theatre of Allentown's MOMMALOGUES Receives NYC Premiere at Marvell Rep

MOMMALOGUES, a play written by Lehigh Valley playwrights Sharon Lee Glassman and Gretchen Klinedinst-Furst, which had its world premiere at Civic Theatre of Allentown in May 2012, will make a move to New York City later this month for six performances beginning May 22 through June 2. The show, which is a collection of emotionally charged monologues honoring mothers and the unique and astonishing bond they share with their daughters, will have its New York premiere at The Barrow Group Mainstage Theatre, 312 W 36th Street in Manhattan as part of the season of the non-profit Marvell Repertory Theatre.

Actor's Fund to Memorialize Broadway Producer Roy Miller; Visitation Set for 5/5

Beloved Broadway producer Roy Miller passed away suddenly early Sunday morning, April 28, 2013 following a brief illness. Roy produced the multiple Tony Award nominated Broadway productions of The Drowsy Chaperone and this season's A Christmas Story: The Musical. His other Broadway producing credits include West Side Story, Ragtime, [title of show] and The Pee-Wee Herman Show among others. He recently served as Producing Artistic Director of Surflight Theatre from 2010 to 2012 and also served as Associate Producer of Paper Mill Playhouse from 1991 to 2004.

RSC Forms New Creative Partnership With Google

People all over the world will be able to join the Royal Shakespeare Company and Google live in Stratford-upon-Avon and online, as they present a one-off digital theatre project, Midsummer Night's Dreaming. This creative experiment will take place over Midsummer weekend, 21 -24 June 2013 and will explore different ways to make and watch theatre.

Dallas Theater Center to Host 2013 Skokos Learning Lab Showcase, 4/27

Dallas Theater Center hosts the fourth annual Skokos Learning Lab Showcase, the culmination of the Ted and Shannon Skokos Learning Lab collaboration between DTC and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTW), on Saturday, April 27 in the Studio Theatre at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. The performance is free and open to the general public. No tickets are required.

Bemis Company Education Series Announces Upcoming Season

With characters ranging from Worrying Worm and The Ugly Ducking to Laura Ingalls Wilder and Hamlet, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center 's 2013-14 Bemis Company Education Series will create an exciting platform for learning onstage. The new lineup was announced Thursday, April 25 at the Center's annual Together for the Arts Educator Open House.

UCSB Presents A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, 5/10-19

The Department of Theater & Dance at UCSB continues its 2012-2013 season of drama and dance with the production of A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, directed by Irwin Appel. A Streetcar Named Desire performs May 10 - 19, 2013 in the A Streetcar Named Desire performs in the Performing Arts Theater on the UCSB campus, with a preview on May 9, 2013.

Marvell Repertory Theatre Will Present ANTIGONE and MOMMALOGUES in Repertory

TEN CHIMNEYS Opens at Artists Rep Tonight

PETER PAN: THE BOY WHO HATED MOTHERS Set for The Blank Theatre, Now thru 6/2

The Blank Theatre has announced that casting is complete and rehearsals are underway for Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers by Michael Lluberes, directed by 2012 Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews. Previews begin tonight, April 20, and opening is Saturday, April 27 at 8pm. The engagement will run through June 2.

The Acting Company presents a national tour of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men and Shakespeare's As You Like It, running now through April 2013. Performances began in Santa Fe in October before the show left on a cross country tour to 44 cities in 30 states. Ian Belknap, Artistic Director of The Acting Company has direcTed Steinbeck's Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning tale, which is one of the most widely read stories in America.

Patti LuPone to Headline New Jersey Symphony's Pops Program, 6/1-2

Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone headlines the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra's 2012-13 NJSO POPS season finale in Newark and New Brunswick, June 1-2. The legendary diva, who last appeared with the NJSO in 2009, will perform songs from her latest album, 'Far Away Places,' backed for the first time by full orchestra. The star of Broadway's Gypsy will also sing signature songs from her illustrious career on stage and screen. Rob Fisher conducts.

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity to Stage New Musical WALDEN, 5/29-6/23

The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity presents Walden, a story-theatre style musical adaptation of Thoreau's best seller, featuring his work on the underground railroad and his star-crossed romance. Six performances for Walden will be held at the Robert Moss Theatre, 440 Lafayette Street, NYC from May 29-June 15 as part of The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place May 29th through June 23rd at Gene Frankel and Robert Moss Theatres in New York City.
