Palo Alto Players, the Peninsula's first theatre company, announces its 86th season - 'From Stage to Screen and Back Again' - featuring a collection of plays and musicals whose time-honored stories have been theatrical hits both on stage and in film. The 2016-17 line-up, beginning September 2016, was unveiled Saturday, January 30 by Artistic Director Patrick Klein and Managing Director Diana Lynn Berenstein at the company's annual Season Announcement Party and includes Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID; THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK; A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD, A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE; Monty Python's SPAMALOT and THE GRADUATE. Despite earlier reports that a sequel to the 1986 cult film LABYRINTH starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly had been stalled, The Hollywood Reporter now writes that Tri-Star and Jim Henson Co. have reached a deal to move forward with the project.
Jeepers Creepers, written by Marty's best-selling biographer Robert Ross, and starring David Boyle (Being Sellers, The Fool Who Dared to Dream) and Rebecca Vaughan (Austen's Women, I, Elizabeth), will premiere in a four-week season in the Lounge at Leicester Square Theatre from Monday 18 January - Saturday 20 February. Monty Python legend Terry Jones is to direct the world premiere of Jeepers Creepers, a play about comedy star Marty Feldman and his ambitious wife, Lauretta.

Main Street Theater begins 2015 with the Stephen Sondheim musical revue Putting It Together. The production will be at Ovations Night Club in Rice Village (next door to MST's village home) while the theater undergoes renovation.
