Shakespeare's Globe has announced full casting for the next two productions opening in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in February: The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Maria Gaitanidi, and Thomas Middleton's Women Beware Women, directed by Amy Hodge.

Chuck Lorre, award winning television producer, writer and director whose television shows have consistently reflected the highest quality of production design, will receive the esteemed Cinematic Imagery Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE, Local 800) at the 24th Annual Art Directors Guild's Excellence in Production Design Awards. The 2020 ADG Awards will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and will honor the prestigious spectrum of Chuck's extraordinary award-winning work over the past 20 years. The announcement was made today by ADG President Nelson Coates, ADG, and Awards Producer Scott Moses, ADG.

 DOC NYC, America's largest documentary festival, announced the full lineup for its expanded tenth anniversary edition, running November 6-15 at the IFC Center in Greenwich Village and Chelsea's SVA Theatre and Cinépolis Chelsea. The 2019 festival includes 136 feature-length documentaries among over 300 films and events overall, making this landmark year DOC NYC's biggest edition yet. Included are 28 world premieres 27 US or North American premieres and 59 NYC premieres, with more than 500 doc makers and special guests expected in person to present their films or participate on panels.

Today, the young Atlanta-based multi-instrumentalist Grandma reveals'No Doors' off his upcoming debut mixtape (date tbc). The track, which includes the video (dir: Miggy), follows the releases'Shallow Water,' (+ Jackson Laurie directed video) and 'Elastic' ft Hanzo (+ Joel Nathaniel Smith directed video). Pop Crave called Grandma a 'rising artist' with an 'exciting distinct sound'.Grandma easily switches genres - from blending funk and pop, belting in a soulful falsetto on 'Shallow Water', into collaborating on a hip hop based track with the fellow Atlanta based rapper Hanzo on 'Elastic', to smoothe electronica infused alternative R&B for his latest track 'No Doors'

Adam Blanshay Productions today announces the first UK Tour of What's In A Name?, adapted and directed by Jeremy Sams from the award-winning French film and stage sensation, Le Prenom, by Matthew Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patelliere. Internationally acclaimed comedy, What's In A Name? hilariously captures a particularly awkward family dinner party. The Boston Symphony Orchestra will move forward with presenting the world premiere of Andre Previn and Tom Stoppard's Penelope at Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall on Wednesday, July 24 at 8 p.m. New to the performance lineup is Boston-born actress Uma Thurman, who will take on the newly created part of narrator, joining the previously announced performers-the Emerson String Quartet, pianist Simone Dinnerstein, and vocalist Renee Fleming, to whom the work is dedicated.
