The Drama League honored five-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald at The Drama League's 29th Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway last night, February 11, 2013 at the famed Pierre Hotel (2 East 61st Street). BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration and you can check out photos below!

Following a record-breaking 35th Season, Shakespeare & Company Artistic Director Tony Simotes is pleased to announce the 2013 summer lineup of plays that will take place in the Tina Packer Playhouse and the Elayne P. Today in 1984, The Rink opend at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre), where it ran for 204 performances. With a book by Terrence McNally, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and music by John Kander, the musical focuses on Anna, the owner of a dilapidated roller skating rink on the boardwalk of a decaying seaside resort, who has decided to sell it to developers. Complicating her plans are her prodigal daughter Angel, who returns to town seeking to reconnect with the people and places she long ago left behind. Through a series of flashbacks, revelations, and minimal forward-moving plot development, the two deal with their pasts in their attempt to reconcile and move on with their lives.

Nominated for Nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, 'The Full Monty' is a feel-good musical comedy about six average-looking, unemployed steelworkers on the verge of a bold plan to get themselves out of debt. Only how far will they go?

The Dramatists Guild of America has rescheduled their awards ceremony, postponed due to Hurricane Sandy, to Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at The Lambs Club in New York. The awards ceremony will be hosted by Lisa Kron and will feature a performance by Kenita Miller.
