A wave of cocktail culture from the West Coast is about to pour through the Metropolitan Room's doors as Terese Genecco, Russ Lorenson and Corky Hale come to town, while Baby Jane Dexter and a number of other local notables like Klea Blackhurst and Billy Stritch stand up for the Eastern seaboard.
The superstars are staying in alignment when Barb Jungr and Marilyn Maye return to the Metropolitan Room to reprise two of the most well-received shows in recent memory - Jungr's 'I Got Life' and Maye's 'Love on the Rocks.' Both ladies, who appeared in overlapping sold-out engagements during an exciting two-week span in September, are featured at this year's Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center.
