Bill Connington, star of the award-winning play ZOMBIE, and Gayton Scott, of Broadway's GYPSY (Bernadette Peters/Sam Mendes version) appeared in a special site-specific reading/workshop of THE GLASS MENAGERIE by Tennessee Williams at Vassar College in upstate New York. It took place in the Rose Parlor, in the main building on the famed Seven Sisters campus. Also in the cast are William Connell (INDISCRETIONS) and Annmarie Benedict (ROBESON). Zack Calhoon, Mark Souza to Lead Boomerang Theatre Company's HAMLET

The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director) announced addition casting for their 2012 outdoor production of Shakespeare's Hamlet, adapted and directed by Artistic Director Tim Errickson and starring Zack Calhoon as Hamlet and Mark Souza as Laertes. Don Dinicola Hosts Post-Show Discussion of TEN BLOCKS ON THE CAMINO REAL, May 18

Don Dinicola, composer of the score for the production of Ten Blocks on the Camino Real, will be at the Charlestown Working Theater for a free, post-show discussion about his composing for live theater. He will be joined by director Davis Robinson, the musicians, and the cast. This presentation is made possible by a grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts, and was originally scheduled for Friday, May 4th. The forum is free and open to the public. The forum will begin at 9:15, immediately after the 8pm performance.

The Tony Award-winning Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Darko Tresnjak, Artistic Director, and Michael Stotts, Managing Director, presents William Shakespeare's magical masterwork, The Tempest, directed by Darko Tresnjak, playing now through June 10, 2012 (press opening: Wednesday, May 16 at 7:30pm). Tony Award nominee Daniel Davis, best known for his recent NYC roles in Classic Stage's The Cherry Orchard, Lincoln Center's The Invention of Love, and the 2004 Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles, as well as six seasons as Niles the Butler on TV's "The Nanny, plays Prospero. Tennessee Rep Presents Ingram New Works Festival, 5/30-6/9

Tennessee Repertory Theatre has announced its schedule for the Martha R. Ingram New Works Festival. The festival will be held May 30 - June 9 and will feature staged readings of new plays from four regional playwrights as well as nationally-renowned playwright Steven Dietz. Dietz is this year's recipient of the Ingram New Works Fellowship.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE Extends Through the Summer; Now to End Run August 19

The acclaimed Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Emily Man will extend its run through August 19, 2012. Streetcar began performances on April 3 and opened on April 22 and was originally set to end its limited run on July 22 at the Broadhurst.

HERO Theatre has just announced that William H. Macy, star of Showtime's Shameless and Academy Award-nominated for Fargo, will star in a benefit reading of Tennessee Williams' "Small Craft Warnings", directed by John Levey. The presentation will take place in Los Angeles, Summer 2012. This will mark HERO Theatre's west coast premiere.
