On Saturday, May 13, the first-ever national TIFF Kids Jump Cuts Young Filmmakers Showcase and TIFF Next Wave Jump Cuts Young Filmmakers Showcase announced their winners.

The "My True Colors Festival" has awarded playwright Jason Aaron Goldberg with the Purple Skies Award for his play MAIN DRAG and will present three developmental readings during the upcoming festival in June.

When heist plans A and B (and C through F) fail, the brothers find themselves locked in the executive bathroom with no way out and no choice but to depend on a brave bank teller, a guileless cop, and the man in the shadows who put them up to the whole thing. A fun comedy, Bank Job is about the holes we dig ourselves into-and the unexpected comrades we trust to dig us out. Hatty King of Lipscomb Academy in Nashville and Nathan Keffer of Ravenwood High School in Brentwood took home top honors at the 2017 Spotlight Awards - held Saturday night at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall - winning "Best Actress" and "Best Actor" awards respectively. The two travel to New York next month to compete nationally in the Jimmy Awards on June 26.
