The Art of Alzheimer's, along with presenting partner UW Medicine, Memory and Brain Wellness Center, is proud to present The Alzheimer's Talks: Perspectives and Personal Stories from Noteworthy Sources.

John Boshard, a zealous story teller and author, has completed his new book 'Shaving Sasquatch': a gripping and potent story about a young boy scout that discovers the magnificence of North California somewhat by accident.

Having revolutionized modern magic and mesmerized audiences unlike any performer in history, magician, illusionist, and stunt artist David Blaine will embark on his first-ever North American tour, announced today. 

Eastbound Theatre, a division of the Milford Arts Council (MAC), is excited to announce a special one-night only theater event, Work Is The Curse Of The Drinking Classes, written by Neil Titley and performed by Johnson Flucker. This performance takes place April 2nd at 4 pm at the Milford Center for the Arts, 40 Railroad Avenue, Milford, CT.  This event has cabaret seating and it is BYO-everything.  So bring a bottle of your favorite wine, a snack and enjoy this wonderful performance.

Each year, more than 250 individuals come together to support this unique organization and celebrate iconic leaders from the arts sector. This year, PS122's Spring Gala 2017 at the Diamond Horseshoe honors Alan Cumming, awards a shining star to Ben Rodríguez-Cubeñas and welcomes new Executive Artistic Director, Jenny Schlenzka. 

Central City Opera's 2017 Summer Festival, which runs from July 8 through August 6, features Bizet's Carmen and Mozart's Così fan tutte performed in repertory in the historic Central City Opera House, and three one-act operas with limited runs—Britten's The Burning Fiery Furnace, Douglas Moore's Gallantry, and Amy Beach's Cabildo—performed in smaller venues located around the town of Central City. Complementing these five widely different operas are pre-performance lectures and talkbacks, staged opera scenes, elegant opening night dinners, and post-performance socials, which make for a full and enriching experience of entertainment and culture in one of Colorado's most historic mountain settings.  

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced an incredible seven-show lineup for its 2017/18 season, which includes a mix of regional premieres, contemporary hits, a classic, a national tour direct from Broadway and a thrilling world premiere.

After many decades, theatre has returned to one of New Jersey's most-prized historical venues. In April, Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) begins a new chapter in the NJ/NY performing arts world by presenting theatre and dance to the newly restored, White Eagle Hall.

Director Bryan Fox is an award-winning writer, director, and actor, as well as notable photographer whose work has been displayed in gallery shows around the world. Most recently, his photography was shown at the prestigious Art Basel in Miami. Bryan began directing with his short film "Dissonance" which screened throughout the U.S. and opened film festivals in Canada, Italy, Germany, and India. It won over 20 awards including Best Short Film at the Accolade Global Film Competition, Indie Fest Awards, LA Spotlight Film Festival, Waterfront Film Festival, Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and the Temecula Film Festival. He also wrote and directed the film "We Alone' which took top prize for music video at the Accolade Global Film Festival. Bryan most recently directed an upcoming episode of the web series "Gossip Boy."

Jess here.  One of my favorite entertainment hotspots in Las Vegas is none other than The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.  March 10, 2017 marked their 5th Anniversary, and I was lucky enough to attend their 'Celebrating Five Years of Heart' concert last week.  Hosted by Betsy Wolfe and Adam Kantor (stars of the revival of THE LAST FIVE YEARS), this extravaganza included a variety of exciting performances, allowing audience members to experience the arts in a fashion that only the Smith Center can provide.  

Annenberg Center Live welcomes the U.S. tour of Pilobolus Dance Theater's wildly theatrical Shadowland. Continuing the company's experimentation with shadow-theatre, Shadowland is a full-length performance about a teenage girl's fantastical journey through a dreamlike shadow world.

Cleveland Play House's Outcalt Theatre will be transformed into the rent-controlled apartment of ex-cop Walter 'Pops' Washington in the bold, fresh, and unfiltered work of renowned playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis. Packed with irreverent humor, lightning-quick dialogue, and tremendous heart, Between Riverside and Crazy is the Pulitzer Prize-winning dark comedy about family, pride, and redemption.

The 2017 Robert Whitehead Awards Ceremony originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, has been postponed due to inclement weather. A new date and time will be announced shortly.

Following a hugely successful run at The Vaults in 2015, Master of the Macabre is returning to London in March. Hot new magical talent Benedict Barber brings his story to the stage - in a script developed by Barber and Matthew Stradling. Directed by Tony Middleton, the production runs for 3 nights from 9th March.

Emceed by Broadway veterans and stars of THE LAST FIVE YEARS Adam Kantor (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and Betsy Wolfe (BULLETS OVER BROADWAY) each talked about the last five years at The Smith Center. Featured performers included Brent Barrett (PHANTOM - THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR), Santino Fontana (CINDERELLA) and Jessica Fontana (IDAHO! THE COMEDY MUSICAL), Chandra Lee Schwartz (WICKED), Teller of Penn and Teller, Nate Dendy (THE TEMPEST), Christopher Convery (KINKY BOOTS), J. Elaine Marcos (MISS SAIGON), Christine Hudman (IDAHO! THE COMEDY MUSICAL), Ashley Loren (BAZ - STAR CROSSED LOVE), Randal Keith (LES MISERABLES), Bruce Ewing (PHANTOM - THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR), Alex Ellis (IDAHO! On Friday, March 3, some of the biggest names in entertainment came together to support the fifth annual One Night for One Drop imagined by Cirque du Soleil®, raising funds and awareness to benefit critical water issues worldwide. Held inside the Zumanity Theatre at New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the star-studded event featured performances by multi-platinum selling vocal group The Tenors and Emmy Award-winning actor William Shatner, with additional performances by America's Got Talent (AGT) winner Grace VanderWaal, GRAMMY®-nominated rapper Redfoo from the Party Rock Crew, AGT finalist Malevo and more.
