La MaMa Releases 'ROOM FOR CREAM SEASON ONE: THE BOX SET'

The OBIE-winning HERE Arts Center's annual CULTUREMART festival is set for January 7 -February 4, 2009, this year featuring 17 works that blur the lines between dance, theatre, music, new media, puppetry and visual art. Reflecting a core philosophy that it's not possible for any one art form alone to convey the flood of images, data and sound bytes that inundate the senses in today's world of information and communication overload, CULTUREMART's cross-disciplinary presentations embrace and illuminate our modern experience by integrating many forms of media and content into exciting new works.

Our Lady J Returns In The 2nd Annual 'GOSPEL OF DOLLY' 12/19

Composer/performer Our Lady J returns to The Zipper Factory Theater (336 West 37th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) with THE SECOND ANNUAL GOSPEL OF DOLLY, an inspiring evening focusing on Dolly Parton's most beloved music, which will be performed on Friday, December 19 at 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Once again, THE GOSPEL OF DOLLY will feature the Pink Champagne Orchestra and the Train To Kill Gospel Choir, along with this year's special guests Novice Theory and Taylor Mac. Tickets are $20.00.

On July 21, 2008, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2008 nominees at a standing-room only event at 'Our Lady of Pompeii' located at 25 Carmine Street. The 2008 Nominees were selected from an adjudication pool of over 3,000 artists. Nominees include 127 individual artists, 47 different productions and 40 theatre companies.
