Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: Scott Alan and Friends; Livin' La Vida Grande; Christine Ebersole in Big Noise from Winnetka; Mitchell Jarvis in Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living Everywhere; and The Songs of F. The monthly series will feature special guests from all corners of the entertainment industry to help bring to life the music and lyrics of Scott Alan straight from his living room into yours. The first episode, directed by television and Broadway star Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson; Smash; The Big C) features ANNIE and INTO THE WOODS star Lilla Crawford singing Alan's 'Never Neverland (Fly Away)' from his debut album 'Dreaming Wide Awake'.

On Monday January 19th, 2015 acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan will make his concert debut at 54 Below in celebration of his sixth studio album, 'Greatest Hits: Volume One.' The evening is being billed as an 'intimate night of storytelling feature many guests from the Broadway stage.'

Acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan returns to Rockwell Table and Stage on Monday, November 10th. The 8pm concert will feature guest vocalists performing Alan's Greatest Hits in an intimate night of supreme storytelling and vocals.

I can't imagine a world without the music of Scott Alan. I first discovered his work by following Stephanie J. Block. Her recording of "Never Neverland (Fly Away)" led to me purchase DREAMING WIDE AWAKE, and I have personally been a fan of Scott Alan's charismatic brand of pop songs infused with Broadway storytelling elements ever since. The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) will present JOPLIN'S PEARL FEATURING AMBER FERRARI tonight, November 1st at 8:00 PM. Amber is a powerhouse and during the first half of her show she will perform the music of some of her favorite Artists like Jefferson Airplane, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox and others along with her own original music! The second half of her show is dedicated to the greatest rocker of them all, the legendary Janis Joplin. When she steps out on stage dressed as Janis herself and begins to sing, audience members will feel as if they have stepped back in time. With complete command of their styles and with authenticity of the music, even the original artists would find Amber Ferrari and her powerful band a fine tribute to their legacy. Amber will be joined by special guest saxophonist, Billboard Recording Artist Richie Cannata, best known for playing with Billy Joel and The Beach Boys.
