Theater Reconstruction Ensemble's RHINBECCA, NY to Play The Brick This Spring

Theater Reconstruction Ensemble presents the world premiere of RHINBECCA, NY, created and performed by Theater Reconstruction Ensemble, and conceived and directed by John Kurzynowski. RHINBECCA, NY runs from March 4 - 19, 2016 in a limited engagement at The Brick, located at 579 Metropolitan Avenue between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

En Garde Arts Kicks Off BOSSS Festival This Weekend

En Garde Arts presents BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, this weekend, October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm. (Tickets for the opening night party, on board the Frying Pan at Pier 66, are $250 or $75 for artists.)

En Garde Arts Moves BOSSS Festival to 10/23-25 Due to Tropical Storm Joachim

Due to tropical storm Joachim, En Garde Arts has postponed BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, to October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm.

Target Margin Theater launches their 2015-2016 Season with an encore presentation of Reread Another based on Gertrude Stein's "Reread Another A Play To Be Played Indoors or Out I Wish to Be a School."  Directed by David Herskovits, the three-member cast features Clare Barron, Purva Bedi,and Ugo Chukwu.  Now in performance through Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn).

Target Margin Theater, who last year dedicated their season to the exploration of works created by the great American novelist, poet and playwright Gertrude Stein, will launch their 2015-2016 Season with an encore presentation of Reread Another based on Gertrude Stein's 'Reread Another A Play To Be Played Indoors or Out I Wish to Be a School.'  Directed by David Herskovits, the three member cast will feature Clare Barron, Purva Bedi, and Ugo Chukwu.  Performances begin tonight, September 24, 2015 for a limited engagement through Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn).   Opening night is set for Monday, September 28, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

Quintessence Theatre Group to Open 6th Season with ROMEO & JULIET and THE MANDRAKE

Quintessence Theatre Group launches its sixth season of progressive classic theatre with Shakespeare's romantic tragedy ROMEO AND JULIET presented in rotating repertory with Wallace Shawn's celebrated translation of Machiavelli's sex comedy THE MANDRAKE. A nine actor repertory ensemble comprised of Quintessence's best and director Alexander Burns will continue to establish Quintessence's brand of full throttle epic classic theatre for today. ROMEO AND JULIET will begin previews on Wednesday, September 30 at 7pm and open on Saturday, October 3 at 8pm.  THE MANDRAKE will begin previews on Wednesday, October 14 at 7pm and open on Saturday, October 17 at 8pm. On February 12, 1915, the Abrons Arts Center's Henry Street Settlement Playhouse opened its doors on the Lower East Side.
