The 11th season of So You Think You Can Dance debuts with auditions from New Orleans and Chicago on a two-hour premiere event airingtonight (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Next week, the Emmy Award-nominated series continues with audition episodes in Chicago and Los AngelesWednesday, June 4 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), in Los Angeles and Philadelphia on Wednesday, June 11 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and in Atlanta onWednesday, June 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The 11th season of SYTYCD begins this Wednesday, May 28th at 8:00/7:00 C. Recently I participated in a conference call with the show's creator, Executive Producer, and judge Nigel Lythgoe. In the excerpts from the conversation below, Uncle Nigel talked about the changes for this season, SYTYCD alums on Broadway, and Justin Bieber… yes Justin Bieber (bonus points if you can pick out the questions I asked).

NBC Sports Group presents 15.5 hours of Kentucky Derby coverage, a record for the event, continuing today, Thursday, May 1 at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and culminating with the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby on NBC, Saturday, May 3. Coverage begins on Saturday at Noon on NBCSN and continues at 4 p.m. ET on NBC.

NBC Sports Group will present the Best of U.S. Awards Show, the United States Olympic Committee's inaugural event honoring outstanding U.S. performances from the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games

NBC's Willie Geist will serve as host for the United States Olympic Committee's inaugural Best of U.S. Awards Show supported by USG, which will honor outstanding U.S. performances from the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and air tonight, April 7 on NBCSN from 7-8 p.m. ET. In addition, figure skaters and commentators Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski will host red carpet coverage, as more than 200 members of Team USA arrive at the Warner Theatre for the live taping on April 2. Sports madness is everywhere this March, but nowhere is it more of a slam dunk than on Friday night's favorite fashion forum. E!'s “Fashion Police” will salute the fashion-forward men and women of professional sports with a three week celebration called “Fash Fabness.” From the basketball court, to the soccer field, to the golf course and beyond, professional athletes are more than team members these days; they are trendsetters in their own right who are designing their own clothing lines, showing up on red carpets and looking good doing it. For three consecutive Fridays beginning March 14th, “Fashion Police” will celebrate one of the biggest events in sports as only they can with specially themed “Fash Fabness” episodes starting at 9pm ET/PT only on E!

NBC's TODAY is heading to Hollywood to cover the film industry's most glamorous night. Al Roker and Kathie Lee Gifford will co-host a special split-edition of TODAY live from Los Angeles, Monday, March 3, the morning after the Oscars. TODAY's Oscar After Party will highlight the night's biggest moments and best fashion. Roker and Gifford, who will cover the famed red carpet, will share their interviews with Hollywood's brightest stars.

Olympic Gold Medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. figure skating champion and Olympian Johnny Weir had just as much fun coordinating their outfits together as they did as ice skating commentators for NBC at the Winter Games in Sochi Russia. Canada's 1-0 victory over Team USA in Friday's Olympic men's hockey semifinal (Noon-2:30 p.m. ET/9 a.m-11:30 a.m. PT) posted a 2.7 household rating/8 share to rank as the highest-rated hockey game in NBCSN history, according to live plus same day fast national data released today by The Nielsen Company. Team USA-Canada topped the previous best NBCSN hockey rating – 2.6 for last Saturday's thrilling Team USA victory over Russia in an eight-round shootout -- and also exceeds the rating for any Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Finals games in the network's history.

MTV today announced its second “Retromania” theme week, “Retromania: Team USA,” that will celebrate the Olympic spirit with current and former Team USA athletes revisiting and remixing some of their favorite music, movie, TV and cultural moments from the late 1990s through the mid-2000s.
