Black Public Media (BPM) has awarded a total of $225,000 in funding to three creative teams who competed at its PitchBLACK Forum, which took place Tuesday and Wednesday. The annual forum, which is the largest pitching competition for Black independent filmmakers and creative technologists in the United States, is designed to advance Black content and draws a “who’s who” of public television and commercial distributors and funders.
The uber-cool jam “Kicks,” performed by Chosen Jacobs, is the film’s opening musical sequence. The song was written by Antonina Armato, Tim James Price, Thomas Armato Sturges and Adam Schmalholz and produced by Antonina Armato and Tim James Price. The stand-out dance sequence is choreographed by Ebony Williams and Emilio Dosal.
Theatr Clwyd today announces the cast for their new production of Celebrated Virgins: A Story of the Ladies of Llangollen, created by Katie Elin-Salt and Eleri B. Jones.
