Elizabeth McGovern, Celia Imrie and Ben Miles Feature in 10th Anniversary HighTide Festival

HighTide Festival, internationally renowned for discovering some of the UK's best new playwrights and producing new plays, has today announced the full ancillary programme for the 2016 Festival (8-18 September) - its 10th anniversary. Deborah Sawyerr Becomes New Executive Director of Theatre Royal Stratford East

Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Stratford East Kerry Michael today announces the appointment of Deborah Sawyerr as its new Executive Director, taking over from Mary Caws. Sawyerr joins Stratford East from the Bush Theatre, where she served as General Manager and will take up her new position in October.

Soho Theatre, Hightide and Talawa Theatre to Present GIRLS This Autumn

Soho Theatre, HighTide and Talawa Theatre Company present Theresa Ikoko's award-winning new play Girls, the funny and fiercely passionate new play by award-winning playwright Theresa Ikoko will premiere at HighTide Festival 2016 in September before its London premiere at Soho Theatre on 27 September. The production will also run at Birmingham Rep Theatre in between those dates.

Cast Announced for World Premiere of DIARY OF A MADMAN at Gate Theatre

Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre Christopher Haydon today announces the full cast for the world premiere DIARY OF A MADMAN. Haydon directs Deborah Arnott (Mavra Sheeran), Liam Brennan (Pop Sheeran), Lois Chimimba (Mel McCloud), Guy Clark (Matthew White) and Louise McMenemy (Sophie Sheeran). Following the success of the Gate Theatre's recent Fringe First winning The Christians and Grounded, Diary of a Madman marks the Gate Theatre's third visit to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

KING LEAR Coming to Birmingham Repertory Theatre

An epic new version of Shakespeare's King Lear plays at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 19 to 28 May, commemorating 400 years since the playwright's death. A co-production between Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre and Talawa Theatre Company, and in association with The REP, King Lear is a brutal portrait of a man unravelling - pitted against his daughters, against nature and against the universe itself.

The Faction Announces First Details of Final Rep Season at Diorama

The Faction, pioneers of 21st Century repertory theatre and producers of critically acclaimed sell-out seasons as one of New Diorama's associate ensembles, will complete their six year tenure at the theatre with a fittingly epic finale: a 21-person Richard III.

Full Cast Announced for HAPGOOD at Hampstead Theatre

Hampstead Theatre announces the full casting for Tom Stoppard's play Hapgood, which previews from Friday 4 December 2015. Directed by Howard Davies, the full cast features Lisa Dillon, who will take the title role, Gary Beadle, Joe Evans, Edward Hancock, Gerald Kyd, Tim McMullan and Alec Newman. Child actors Adam Cansfield and Sasha Graycomplete the cast.

Birmingham Repertory Theatre Sets 2016 Season

Metta Theatre to Stage World Premiere of MOUTHFUL

Metta Theatre today announces the world premiere of Mouthful, the centrepiece of their 10th anniversary celebrations. Mouthful is a darkly comic and at times heartbreaking response to the global food crisis through six brand new plays from six of the world's leading dramatists - Lydia Adetunji, Bola Agbaje, Clare Bayley, Inua Ellams, Neil LaBute and Pedro Miguel Rozo. The playwrights, with support from a Wellcome Trust Arts Award, have teamed up with six world-renowned scientists - Professors Tim Benton, Kamal Bawa, Suzanne Filteau, Ilkka Hanski, Molly Jahn and Tim Lang to collaborate on this politically provocative and theatrically imaginative production.

Cast Announced for WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE at Finborough Theatre

In a new production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre and originally seen as a staged reading as part of Vibrant -- A Festival of Finborough Playwrights 2013, the world premiere of We Know Where You Live  by Steven Hevey, the award-winning Playwright-on-Attachment at the Finborough Theatre, runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing nine Sunday and Monday evenings from Sunday, 2nd August 2015 (Press Night: Monday, 3rd August 2015 at 7.30pm).
