A love of dance and community returns to the Ware Center stage on Sunday, March 29th at 3 pm during the 4th annual 'Celebrate Ballet & World Dance' performance. Local studios, choreographers and individual dancers present new and traditional works during this special afternoon celebration. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.
Versatile actress Tanna Frederick, who played the quintessential Lizzie in The Rainmaker a couple of seasons back, is now performing in another Henry Jaglom production, his world premiere play The Train to Zakopane again at Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica. In our chat she talks about the challenges of playing Katia and other projects for stage and film.
As a loving homage to his father, Henry Jaglom wrote Train to Zakopane based on the tales his father told him of his times in Poland during the 1920s.
TRAIN TO ZAKOPANE: A true story of hate and love, by Henry Jaglom, will have its World Premiere at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica beginning November 14. The play is based upon true events that occurred in the life of Henry Jaglom's father as he crossed Poland on a train in 1928 when anti-Semitism was rife in much of Europe, especially Poland. It is a compelling love story that explores the human condition in its darkest and most exquisite moments, laying bare how compassion and intolerance can, even in the most unusual of circumstances, be one and the same.

Breaking Glass Pictures and Rainbow Releasing have announced the release of 45 MINUTES FROM BROADWAY. The film is available nationwide on VOD June 14th, followed by a DVD release today, July 16th (SRP $24.99).
Let me start off by saying that the performance of The Rainmaker on Saturday June 15 was almost cancelled due to the illness of the two actors playing File and the Sheriff. Ron Vignone and Daniel Robinson respectively stepped in with only a couple of hours rehearsal so that the show could go on. With script in hand, both covered their roles quite effectively based on the little amount of time they had for preparation. Bravo!
