A love of dance and community returns to the Ware Center stage on Sunday, March 29th at 3 pm during the 4th annual "Celebrate Ballet & World Dance" performance. Local studios, choreographers and individual dancers present new and traditional works during this special afternoon celebration. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

World dances from the Philippines, Albania, Greece, India, Israel, the Middle East, and Hawaii will be presented along with selections of Russian and American ballet. More than 10 area dance groups and studios will perform unique pieces from their varied repertoire. This lively afternoon closes with a number featuring all performers dancing together. The program, coordinated by Valerie Henry along with Marylin Beittel, Lynn Brooks, and Dana Shelley, is part of the Arts at Millersville University's Dance Lancaster! which features dance performances of Lancaster's finest local choreographers and dance companies.

This year's Celebrate Ballet & World Dance program consists of 15 performances, featuring: Dance Mosaic, Encore Performance Company, Lancaster Ballet Company, Movement Laboratory, NetCo Dance Company, Octorara Ballet School, and Susquehanna Dance Center, and choreographers Felicitas Bowie, Cindy Burkhart, Melanie Burkhart, Meredith Reffner Callendar, Jessica Clevenger, Victoria Coble, Judy Williams Henry, Valerie Henry, Jonathan Kane, Mika Cox MacDougall, Dana Shelley, Vatsala Srinivas, Dilesha Tanna, and Shari Vegso-Wilson.

Tickets for this performance are $15 general, $12 senior, and $5 student. Tickets can be purchased by calling 717-871-7600 or visit www.ArtsMU.com. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Ticket Office located in the Student Memorial Center on Millersville's campus, or the Ware Center, located at 42 N. Prince Street, in Lancaster. Doors open one hour before each show for ticket sales, subject to availability. Seating for this performance is reversed.
