Seth Rudetsky to Host Directory of Contemporary Theatre Writers' THE CONCERT, 1/21

DQT Theater Announces THE BARPLAY QUINTET, 1/17-25

The DQT Theater (the Dramatic Question Theater), the multicultural, multigenerational theater company, kicks off its fourth season with a series of special engagement productions for the 2013. This January DQT member Allen Davis will premiere his new production, The Barplay Quintet.

Ra Ra Riot Plays Webster Hall, 1/25; BETA LOVE Out 1/22 on Barsuk

NPR Music "All Songs Considered" premieres the title track "Beta Love" from Ra Ra Riot's third album. Beta Love is set for release January 22 on Barsuk Records with pre-order starting today. The album marks the band's first outing as a four piece with members Wes Miles on vocals, Milo Bonacci on guitar, Mathieu Santos on bass and Rebecca Zeller on violin forming the core of the group. Beta Love's songs are informed by the works of cyperpunk novelist William Gibson and futurist Ray Kurzweil's musings on the technological singularity and transhumanism.

Taye Diggs, Busy Philipps to Announce 2012 SAG Award Nominations, 12/12

Busy Philipps, star of the TBS original comedy series 'Cougar Town,' and Taye Diggs, star of the ABC drama 'Private Practice,' will reveal the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations on Wednesday, Dec. 12. The announcement will be telecast live on TNT at 9 a.m. (ET)/6 a.m. (PT) and webcast live on tnt.tv and tbs.com. SAG-AFTRA Co-President Roberta Reardon and Executive Vice President Ned Vaughn will introduce Phillips and Diggs to the assembled media. Just prior to the nominations announcements, SAG Awards Committee Vice Chair Daryl Anderson and Committee Member Woody Schultz will announce the stunt ensemble honors nominations at 8:50 a.m. (ET) / 5:50 a.m. (PT).

Anneliese van der Pol to Lead New Musical JANE AUSTEN'S EMMA at Arizona Theatre Company

Arizona Theatre Company presents the Arizona Premiere of "Jane Austen's Emma" a new romantic musical comedy that brings Jane Austen's masterpiece to life. "Jane Austen's Emma" plays at the Temple of Music and Art and runs from December 1, 2012 - December 22, 2012. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from December 31, 2012 - January 20, 2013. "Jane Austen's Emma" is sponsored by Shirley Estes. ATC's season sponsors are I. BWW Interviews: Multi-Talented Carmen De La Paz Returns Home for Benefit Concert (11/17/2012)

Carmen De La Paz, a Waukesha, Wisconsin native and international celebrity, will be donating her time and concert to perform a benefit concert on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Waukesha Civic Theatre. "My Life Through Music" is the premiere of a one-woman that she hopes to take to the international stage. This exciting night of music is a telling of her life story through song and anecdote, following her from Waukesha to New York and finally Los Angeles. Songs will include Broadway hits, Disco favorites, Spanish Language Pop Music as well as Romantic Songs. All proceeds from this show will benefit the Waukesha Civic Theatre.
